More Mercedes S-Class facelift spy photos plus AMG version
Some more crystal clear spy shots of the Mercedes S-Class facelift have surfaced. This time, they also include the AMG version, and hybrid as well.

Ambushed by the spies as the drivers' settled in for a bite to eat, we see some small updates. For example, take a look at the new graphic on the front lamps, now with LED daytime lights built in. LEDs also show up in the rear.

Around the frame, the bumpers get a rebuilt, with foglights integrated in. The prototypes were all camouflaged up inside, so we anticipate some sort of update there as well, like the SPLITVIEW display screen and COMAND infotainment system with 8-inch display.

Black S class, non AMG, got LS like exhausts.
btw i hope S class doesn't get a price increase. It's already the most expensive in it's class, a bit over priced.

I own both. The S is not over priced. It's the marquee car in this segment. While the LS is an awesome car it doesn't make me feel proud of owning one. It's not the most exciting design with more of a typical Japanese look (which isn't bad) but it's amenities make up for its rather boring looks. The S is top notch car with wide hips, refined interior, and has great road presence. It is second to none. Don't deboost me because you're a bandwagoner and have heard negative comments from other fanboys. I tell it like it is without any biased views.

If you're in the market for an S be sure to look at the A8 and LS as well because they are all great in their own way.

If you want subtle but well built Japanese automotive engineering then the Lexus is the ONLY import luxury full size you should eye. If you want conservative looks with superb fit and finish then look no further than the A8. If you want a pinnacle brand and established Mercedes luxury then the S is the car you want. I can't speak for the new 7 because I haven't seen it or driven it but I am sure it's got positives too.!

Win win situation. No arguments there. Like I said before this segment is saturated with superb luxury barges. You can't go wrong. No lie.

"Black S class, non AMG, got LS like exhausts."

The S600 has had those exhaust tips since it came out in 2006. Now it's just spreading to the rest of the line.

Whos deboosting?
Anybody who's a bit more into the auto industry knows, that the S-Class is the benchmark and sets new standards.
I like the new 7-series as much like this one and the Audi A8 follows 2nd.

I prefer the new 7 series over the S class, even though I just bought an S63 AMG in gold colour. The new 7 series looks upmarket..

Aside from having the most luxurious ride in the segment, the S-Class has always featured the very best in safety and convenience technology. The other makes would be great in a world where you didn't have to compete with the S, but since the S-Class is for real, the others have to take a back seat. No other car has consistently featured industry firsts the way that the S-Class has. What is more, the interface of the S-Class is way more user friendly than BMW's i-Drive or the A8's MMI. IMO...

7 Series, 750li currently sells for around 550,000 to 600,000 dirhams in the market. If u buy from the main dealers like Abu Dhabi motors it's less but there is a waiting list.

We are in the process of getting our first 7 Series. It's 750li in white. We are going to recieve it in a week and we already have few coustomers who are willing to give our asking price.

btw as u might know, after 4 to 5 months, price of 7 series will be settled. Then it will be very close to comparable S class.

Thank you.

How much is your asking price?

and I think paying 100k over the price tag when it comes out for exclusivity isn't a very smart idea. I've seen only 1 in the streets and it was in the dark blue colour, looked really good.

Infiniti has nothing on Lexus in the JDM. It wishes it was as good as Lexus. As far as I know, Infiniti's are still being sold as Nissan's in Japan but that will be changed in the next few years. Lexus just changed over in recent past and can now be taken seriously. Infiniti and Acura has some catching up to do. Don't even think about them being Mercedes contenders, not even close.

i WOULD STILL GET THE NEW 7 SERIES at least the 7 series is unique they didnt take the rolls royce phantom and design the new 7 series as Mercedes took the Maybach and copied pretty much the whole design into the new S-class.
