2009 Suzuki Equator U.S. pricing announced
Pricing information has just been released by Suzuki for its brand-new Equator midsize pickup truck, and, it is not a surprise, it imitates the price tag of its Nissan Frontier platform-mate. The Equator will begin at $17,995, for 2009, just a few hundred dollars more than the Frontier which goes on sale at $17,460.

That bottom amount will get you a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder powerhouse with 152 horsepower and torque of 171 lb-ft in an extended passenger compartment package and comes with a 5-speed manual transmission and two-wheel drive. On the other hand, for those who want or need more, can now choose a powerful 4.0 liter V6 powertrain, 5-speed automatic transmission, 4-wheel drive and 4 real doors. A completely - loaded RMZ-4 model will simply peak the $30,000 mark.

I thought Suzuki pulled out of the American market.

Wow, a truck that won't sell. Can't wait to see Hyundai's try at making a truck next. Or maybe they are smart enough to know not to try that segment. Fail.

Are you sure? I bet there are a lot of truck people that will dig the manual option.
