2009 Ford Focus RS pricing announced

Pricing for the 2009 Ford Focus RS has been revealed. The fastest and hottest Ford hatchback will hit markets in March of 2009 with a price tag of £24,995 ($38,158 USD).

The new Focus RS will be available in three colors including Electric Green, Frozen White and Electric Blue. Power comes from a 2.5L 5-cylinder Duratec engine that makes 296-hp and a peak torque of 221 lb-ft. Rest to 60 mph comes in at 5.9 seconds with a top speed electronically limited to 155 mph.

It is a really pretty car and it looks like it is well put together. Too bad we will not see this generation Focus here.

I like the look also but am not happy with the extra cost of all the add-ons that should be standard on a car like this. I don't know what will save Ford if they continue to refuse to bring all the good models to North America.
