Redesigned 2012 VW Passat due in 2011
The Passat CC has received an outstanding customer reception here in the U.S. so Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn is urging his team to move the Passat facelift to next year instead of 2010 - a total redesign of the Passat has been brought forward from 2014 to 2012 according to CAR.

Don’t expect any radical changes to the facelift for the Passat. According to CAR, the facelift for the sedan will features a lot less chrome, new headlamps, a new front and rear bumper and a lot more technological features. However, CAR says...

What in the hell does this article have to do with Hyundai? Copying...get use to it because everyone does it. I agree FuRoPiNiOn001, I'm annoyed of those types of "redesigns" as well.

Not sure if the US will get this Passat. The tech mentioned in the article (airless tires, no windshield wipers cleaning) sounds a little to far-fetched.

I don't think we'll be getting it. The Passat will probably be replaced by a car designed specifically for the U.S.

I hear also that the Maxima will be replaced by a car designed specifically for the U.S. after this generation's cycle is through production.

You say "what? no!"

I say, "don't be so sure, essey!"

Cus.. "trust me".

001,

You gotta kill those video advertising modules that pop-up in this site. If you by-accident click on one they stick around until you go to another page. Even clicking the "x" does NOTHING! All that is accessible is moving the ad, but that does nothing to ease the annoyance. They are ridiculously annoying and may turn away new customers. Me? I will stick around but, they may tick off the "next" guy. You gotta find an alternative to this for the advertising companies.

Mike.

The most compelling and sensible car at last year's Detroit Auto Show.

I thought it would be a 2010 model and be out by now.

I'd like to see it in Diesel as well.
