Rendered Speculation: 2013 Audi R6

Rendered Speculation: 2013 Audi R6
Audi is expanding the “R” badge lineup. Just recently they introduced the R8 V10, in addition there is a Spyder version of the R8 coming soon.

There are lot of rumors circulating around the new “R” lineup. In March Audi spokesperson said that the rumored R4 is not in the company’s product plan. In September news came that Audi might be working on R3, which would be powered by a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine and be available in 2013.

In addition to the R3 there is a rumor about the R6, that would be positioned between the R3 and R8. Even though Audi has not confirmed this, it makes lot of sense. To be honest R6 makes more sense than R3. As R3 would compete with the TT, then R6 would be Audi’s alternative to Cayman.

yeah, so what?
chrysler's broke, so someone had to do it.
j/k
Seriously speaking, both the Chrysler concept and Audi's are beautiful. I just wish Audi could shave about 6 inches of the nose for improved weight balance.

really this rendering dont do it for me the top picture looks like the chrysler FIREPOWER and the bottom picture isnt anything BUT an A or S5 photoshopped to look bigger than what it really is.

i wish they made this like now. i would be first or second on the waiting list. i have been dissapointed with audi since the B7 A4 came out and even more upset with the current models because of the fact that they all look alike. if this made it to production it would definitely give the brand a slight variation. please Audi hear me out.

that photo, whatever it is, would be nothing like the R6 (or R-anything). The R lineup is supposed to be mid-engined. They're not just going to stretch the S5, slap the rear end of an R8 on it, and call it an R6, as that photo suggests.

Looks like the Chrysler Firepower (Viper-based) with Audi front & rear fascias.

I would expect the R6 to be smaller/lighter than the R8 at the least.

The proportion of the front end is messed up because the roof line goes down the A-pillar and toward the bottom or middle part of the wheel. That, combined with the flatness of the fender panel and the near-verticality of the door crease, makes the the panel look huge. Then, the fine lines of the wheels contrast with the bulky flatness of the panels, but not enough to offset that bulkiness. The design is a series of compromises, and needs to be recreated with a clearer idea behind it.

Wow! The German Corvette. (yawn)
We haven't seen a German car with this bad a case of penis envy since the Z4, and we know how well that sold!

Seriously, I can't imagine Audi selling a vehicle with such old-school proportions as this ... it just ain't gonna happen!
