hey I am a huge advocate for diesel cars but Porsche and diesel just don't seem to go together. How bout the V10 TDI engine? they don't put it in the Touareg anymore

In Europe we still get the V10 TDI Touareg.

They can't offer VW's V-10 TDI because it embarrasses the Porsche V8 in performance.
VW is not allowed to embarrass Porsche.

So the Touareg donates its V6 gas engine to Porsche first, and now its V6 diesel. Like that was a huge leap.

Which means the only Porsche components in a 6-cyl Cayenne are the seats ... and the Porsche badge. Given that the quality of the Touareg seats are pretty good, I guess that badge must be made of solid gold!

Chuck: and Nissan and Infiniti could put VW TDI engines in all their models, giving them better mileage and longer life than any engine they use now.
That's about as unrelated to the topic as your comment!

TDI are known as some of the best diesels around, but again a mute points as there are no Nissan/Infiniti diesels in the US.

The VW VR6 in the Cayenne is not a bad engine at all.
