Video: First Drive BMW X5 M

We have just posted the most recent spy photos of the BMW X5 M and the people at BMW-web.tv have another surprise for us: the first BMW X5 M drive.

Named “X5 M Product Testing”, the video takes us on board the X5 M and for a nice track ride at the famous Nurburgring. I’m a little surprised how BMW decided to promote the X5 M, a bit different from the regular marketing techniques. This has to be one of the first non-spy videos of a future product released by BMW.

Even though the dialogue is in german, the english subtitles are sufficient for getting the message: BMW X5 M will be an impressive car. Or so they say….

Should be impressive. Even though many of you find it pointless, I really wanted to see a Cayenne Turbo competitor from BMW. Put that ugly frog in it's right place!

I don't think that there has ever been a Porsche that is not better looking than all BMW's that have ever been made put together...

That's what you think. Personally I'm sick and tired of 50's designs passing as "timeless". I do not just follow the crowd who just see the Porsche logo on the front and automatically assume it's gonna be awesome.

most definitely pointless... i mean come on... you don't want your grocery's experiencing 1.5g's around a bend do you? I am sure those type of g's will break your infants neck in a car seat. the X6 is a flop, so why do they continue with this SUV sport uselessness (how many X6's have YOU seen driving around)... BMW should spend their engineering dollars towards a performance vehicle (car) actually worth something, we are in 2008 (almost 09). Let's see a twin turbo V8 DCT M5 rather than this crap!

"M" and "SAV" is an oxymoron in my book. Also, the headline here says X5 M, but the photo gallery on the link only has pics of the presumed X6 M.
