GM gets 10,000 orders for the 2010 Camaro
GM said today that it has already received 10,000 advance orders for the new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, reports Automotive News. It did not say how many of the advance orders were for the 300-hp V6 model or how many were for the 422-hp Camaro SS.

As reported yesterday, GM in the process of suing Cadence Innovation, a bankrupt parts supplier that is liquidating, to get parts that it needs for the production of the 2010 Camaro. In a standard industry practice, GM handed over the parts and machines to Cadence to produce parts for the Camaro. GM said...

Gm is effing stupid. Its like a angry customer at Mc donalds. Yea you will get your order but they will do a shit job making it. Expect a low reliability rate.

Good question.
But to help incite the easily incitable, every article should have a shot of a Lexus with a Nissan VQ-series in the engine bay, converted to run on diesel as a hybrid :)

Not even close they will sell roughly the same amount as an M3 and Its quite obvious what a European would choose.

Yes because every european has the exact same tastes and thinks exactly the same. There are no divisions in Europe and everyone there conforms to what veyron1001 thinks is the "norm".

Once again, veyron1001 says something stupid.

@Chuck: G37 is not the only good car out there and Infiniti is not the only company that makes good cars! I am not talking in support of Camry.. still !

Understand that GM has always been the slow kid in the automotive world and if a rival comes out with something the consumers want, two years later GM will have an offering.

Yes, and since it takes 4 years to create a new model properly, that 2-year intro from GM explains a lot of the quality issues.......

The quality is going to suck even more!

How does it matter - how many orders they have in advance - they don't have the tooling or parts to manufacture. Their supplier Cadence has filed for Chapter 11 and GM is (pur)suing Cadence to supply! Most likely they are gonna be unsuccessful, like the Chrysler pursuit!

10,000 in adavance orders, but they can sell 50k-75k? easily. if 100k at 5k profit each, that's a half a billion. the supplier issues will get worked out to make it happen.

I don't like this one as much as the other concept model that didn't get chosen. Still, with the retro craze still going, they'll sell a lot of them. Now, if we can just get the Trans-Am series back with only Mustangs, Challengers, and Camaros....that would be nice. Can we get a retro Javelin or AMX?

forget the Javelin ... bring back the Pacer, Dude!!!

If somebody is going to build a retro Pacer then we need the Gremlin too, the only car ever to be offered with a denim interior and there's a reason for that.
