This seems rather miss guided IMO. All of the auto industry is slow selling right now. It makes more sense to but out a competitive product now so that when the economy does turn around you are ready. Even if it takes a couple more years for this to happen they could already be working on the next gen version or at least improvements. If this was a real competitive car then they wouldn't have any thing to worry about, my concern is that it is probably not and they know it. Suzuki needs to take a page from its home land competitors and not wait til the good times to produce a good car. Make it in the not so good times and folks will take notice when things improve.

The face looks like a Japanese Chevy Malibu!

Open a new window, copy and past the link below and view the cars side by side and see for yourself. Maybe, GM and Suzuki should work together and bring this car to market and make the hybrid version REAL competion to the 2010 Fusion and Camry.

One could say the Malibu and Suzuki look like the recent Audi cars with the split grill. Similar styling elements are present on many cars in many parts of the market today.
