Lexus Models Highest in Four Segments

Four Lexus models were the highest ranked in their respective segments, the highest number of any nameplate, in the 2005 J.D. Power and Associates Automotive, Performance,Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study.

Lexus segment leaders included two new 2006 models, the GS 300/430 and the RX 400h. The GS 300/430 was the "Most Appealing Mid Luxury Car," while the RX 400h -- the world's first luxury-hybrid vehicle -- was the "Most Appealing
Entry Luxury SUV." The LS 430 was the top-ranked overall vehicle in the study while earning "Most Appealing Premium Luxury Car."

The IS 300/IS 300 SportCross was "Most Appealing Entry Luxury Car."

"It is satisfying to see so many of our vehicles top their segments," said Bob Carter, Lexus group vice president and general manager. "While Lexus continues to forge a strong emotional bond with owners, new models like the GS and RX 400h and our upcoming all-new IS are proving to enhance our brand's relationship with our customers."

In its 10th year, the 2005 APEAL study measures owners' gratification with design, content, layout and performance of their new vehicles. This year's report is based on information from more than 115,000 new-vehicle owners, surveyed within the first 90 days of ownership. The respondents rate 115 attributes in eight categories, including engine and transmission, styling and exterior, ride, handling and braking, comfort and convenience, seats, cockpit and instrument panel, sound system, heating, ventilation and cooling.

They deserve the high rating for their hard work to improve the quality, reliability and performance of their cars. I'm glad J.D. Power and Associates Automotive recognize that in Lexus. Thank you for telling the Truth J.D. Power and Associates Automotive.

Lexus is definetly one of the best Lexury brand out there. In my Humble opinion, Lexus has the best Lexury brand out there in it class. Because compare to other cars in it class you paid much less, and get way more for you money. Especially the 2006 model redesign 2006 IS/GS models.

Both of which has style, elegance, grace and performance, but as much as I love Lexus they need to up their performance a little more on the GS. I know the IS330 will beat the New 3 series with 307 horsepower 0-60 in 5.9 second and the super sport package which is the IS460 with 450+ Horsepower. But the GS need to bring their Horsepower to 350-365 range to beat their competitor in the performance field.

For the interior design, Lexury wise, Lexus is Without A Doubt the Best/King out there for their interior designing. They just need to up their Horsepower that is all.

Outstanding Job Lexus designing team

Lexus for Life

p.s. I know what I'm getting for Christmas, the Brand Lexus IS/GS, Yeah.....

Because America is the only place that matters...

I would take the survey more seriously if it were Europe-based, because why would you survey a country that can't even make good cars themselves?

Lexus may mean quality and reliability, but design? I don't think so. Their designs are non-offensive, but not class-leading in terms of originality and flair. And the new GS has an obsese rear-end.

You know everyone is entitle to their comments, and I think the result speak for themselve. Lexus only been around for like 15 years, less two decade and look at the success they have. If they improve their performance level up in their standard model like the IS250 to 260 hp instead of 210 and but they don't have to since they have the IS350 with 307 Horse Power. The GS300 to 315 Hp and the GS430 to 360-370 I guaranteed you that Lexus will take the Crown of performance away from BMW.

Lexus has quality, realibility and the BEST....Interior design out there, and that is Something other cars out there Does Not have.

The MB Does NOT make car like it use to be, by the Way, it own by Chrysler now so when you guys OUT there making fun of Lexus own by toyota, at least Toyota/Lexus car Does NOt break down like other cars. Same with Jaguar own by Ford I belief , and look at the New 2006 or 2007 XJ or XK whatever it is, I belief is the new one coming out, it look like a Juice up Steroid Ford Taurus, Yike.........,

You guys/girls out there, I got Nothing against MB, BMW, or even Audi. I think they are really nice car. For example I like the RS6, The MB S65, BMW 3 & 6 Series. But look at price you are paying compare to Lexus. Lexus is expensive to but you get your money well worth it for the Lexus. The new 2006 IS/GS is definitely taking over sooner or later. Lexus is the first brand of Lexury to have a Hybrid version of the RX400/GS450 and now everyone trying copy them, Who's copying who?

Lexus just started seriously to invest more of their designing on performance and combine with Outstanding Interior design they will take over the Lexury Brand for good. Hey I'm not the only one saying that, alot Lexus owner do, and J.D. Power and Associates Automotive say so themselve.

The thing I like about Lexus is that they let their Car speak for themselve. Toyota has been the best selling car in America for 4 years in Row. And the #2 is Honda Accord still a Japanese car, LOL..........:) Other cars in it class are so Hype, or overrated.

Lexus is also currently making several Sport Performance Lexus with well Over 500+ Horse Power. Is currently been test in German, can't wait to see it at the next Autoshow.

matt, you said that Lexus GS has a obese rear-end, at least the car had something to be look at, unlike other cars all they had is a Tiny & FLat Rear-End. Who's here like a girls with a Flat & Tiny Rear-End, certainly Not me. To me the New GS look awesomes, inside and outside as well.

Or Maybe most owner of the NeW GS Lexus like their women with a nice Juice rear-end because I know I do. That is why I'm going to get the new GS430 for Christmas. I like big butt and cannot hide, LOL

I definitely agree that Lexus need to up there Horse power in all of their brand. The new 2006 IS250 need to bring their horse up from 204 or 210 ponie to 255 horse and their IS350 is at 307 which is fine for now.

The new LS430 or LS450 for 2006 or 2007 better up their horse power to 360-370 to compete against the New 7 series which has 360 horse power.

For the GS I really want them to bring up the horse power up to 350-365 range to have any chance against the M45 335 hp, new BMW 550 with 360 horse power, so hopefully for the 2007-2008 I hope they will bring up the horse power to 365 range. Even better they should make sport package for the GS with 400+ horse power, it would be really nice to NOt only brag about my interior and exterior design but the Horse power and the performance under my Hood as well.

Lexus

P.S. so Lexus Designer if you are reading this, this is what your customers want, More HORSE POWER for my Lexus for the IS/GS as well.

I read in car and driver, where they compare the Audi A4,Acura TL,Saab 9-3, Volvo S60, cadillac CTS,G35,2006 BMW 330, and the New King the IS350. The IS350 is the fastest in the comparison from 0-60 2006 IS350 sprint in 5.1 second, now that is fast.

If Lexus ever to bring out the IS350 coupe version with a stick shift, Game Over for everyone in it class. Lexus is taking over like it or Not.

Lexus

p.s. don't hate becasue Lexus IS350 did a sprint 0-60 in 5.1 second.

You point out that once Lexus can figure out styling, dynamics, and performance (Very very minor considerations when choosing a car!) they will reign supreme.

lexus' rivals, mainly from the German camp, already have mastered styling, dynamics and performance. All they need to do now is address reliability, then look out!

Let's see if the Japanese can engineer character into their cars, because all the tight panel gaps in the world cant stop you from feeling cold when you go and look at one. Stale.

Hey guys i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee lexus so much.
Not only now but from the begining of it's age some 15-16 years ago.

I remember that 2 3 years ago when many of u guys were opposing lexus so much for it's styling, performance, cheap badge etc and were totally in love with BMW,MB,Audi etc...

I told u guys that lexus will be the # 1 brand in the years to come and so it is.

Now every body likes lexus, wants to drive it,impressed tottally by it's interior, stylings, reliability, long life, high re-sale value, daily driver...etc and only 1 thing is still commentable is it's performance which surely will be increase by lexus in the near future as they know very much that what US or Europe or World needs/likes.

I heared that Lexus will provide a hybrid transmission in it's all the cars.

With much more HP and Torque under the hood with hybrid, i am sure u'll like it as all the world's leading brands do like This Toyota /Lexus TECHNOLOGY.

So my freinds LEXUS is no more a challenger but a leader in it's CLASS.

I know that they made the new IS250/350 from the LF-C concept but I would really to see Lexus made the Lexus LF-C concept in a reality. It is a really nice car, plus it is a hard top convertible.
