Detroit Auto Show: 2010 Lincoln MKT revealed
Only existed as a concept during the Detroit Auto Show the previous year, Lincoln has introduced a production version of the stunning MKT crossover for 2010 which comes with three rows of seats in contrast to the two rows of MKX. MKT is a member of Lincoln’s upgraded range together with the MKZ sedan.

The new MKT production model highlights a split waterfall grill, a beveled chamfer running on its shoulder line, a flowing cantrail that serves as a frame for the windows and a horizontal taillight that spreads across its full width covering the liftgate. The interior features leather-trimmed seats, floating armrests, and a flow-through second-row center console as an option and LED-highlighted instrument cluster. Optional features consist of panoramic roof with fixed glass or a power adaptable variant, 6 or 7 passenger configuration with two choices of second row seating arrangements, a regular 60/40 split folding rear bench seat that comes with outboard seating positions, and a refrigerator at the rear console.

omg this car is ugly, just ugly. 90% of the front end is the grill, and shape is beyond dull. This is where the bailout money went into? Let the garbage 3 CEOs have their laughs as they trully screwed the whole country up. But, we deserve it because there're many fools out there.

If you read/watch the same news as I do.....Ford didn't get any bailout money. you bonehead.

If you are so smart...go to design school...and design cars..or better yet....open your wallet and start a car company...

At first I thought it was an Acura station wagon, LOL! Damn, Lincoln has no shame, huh?

It looks like a modern day "family truckster" like that driven by Clark Griswold in National Lampoon's Vacation.

My opinion...the concept was great and production ready, esp when you compare it to the actual production model. The vehicle shown above looks so...droopy. What's up with that?!

The headlights kinda look like a bird although I can't really put my mind into name which bird specifically.

Should be called the Lincoln Hitler. That is a Hitler mustache on the front.

The hearse is chic again? That's so 1980's goth! Funeral homes are going to save a ton of money on this beauty LOL! Hell, even AARP members will save money since this is a hybrid (ambulance & hearse) LMAO! (Jokes people, jokes LOL!)

Apparently something was lost in translation from design-to-concept with this one. It's not so much that it's completely ugly, but it appears to suffer from having to maintain the same general hard-points/proportions as its Ford platform mate, the FLEX. Sorry FoMoCo, this one just doesn't work.

Lincolns new design language is going to lose it's voice within 5 years. Mark my words. The 'wings' attached to the headlamps will not do it for this brand. Buick is taking such a better design direction with the 'side-spear' thing they have going on along with their classy looking waterfall grille and new portholes on the hood (as seen on the 2010 LaCrosse). Thank goodness the guys at GM have taken "Art & Science" to higher heights. Somebody in America has to be the best LOL!

The front grill is a little bit too much. It is actually more a fence than a grill. Ther's also something wrong with the 3/4 rear panel. I can't say that is plain ugly, but it's odd. Would like to see the rear end of as well.

UGLY, just darn UGLY. I think Acura's front beak may have just been beaten for the most ugliest front end. Another "tank" that we don't need or want. These designers and CEO's haven't learned yet.

OHH Why did they ruin this. The concept MKT was INCREDIBLE!
This version looks like they just slapped on the front and back
of the concept and expected that to be the same. Those that fell in love with the Concept MKT, which was the most marketable new concept as is vehicle I have ever seen - as functionable as it was a feast for the senses - everything that loved about it was ruined or left out. Curves all gone, spaciousness and design all gone, play on light and erogonomics all gone, that beautiful cockpit -- all gone. What an obliteration! Ford ruined this beautiful lincoln mkt concept which was the most ingenious thing to hit the floor in a long time. The women engineers who designed this amazing vehicle were really ignored and crossed over -- no pun intended. This vehicle would have sold itself out if you had put it out as the concept, it looks ugly and slapped together as it came out now. So disappointed! I so loved the MKT Concept, thats the vehicle I wanted and couldn't wait to hit the market. What hit missed the mark so bad.
