Former mayor who hated BMW drivers dies while racing a BMW
Robert Cartwright, a 50-year old former mayor, had always complained that BMW and Mercedes-Benz drivers were arrogant in their driving style. According to the Telegraph, Cartwright recently passed away in a tragic high-speed crash while racing a BMW.

Cartwright was on his way back from meeting his fiance, Josephine Gibb, who said that he always had a thing about BMW and Mercedes drivers and said that they drive “as if they own the road.”

“Sometimes it would affect his driving towards them,” Gibbs told the media. ”He would speed up, but not...

Road rage can go but soo far....Ultimately you have to decide if you are in a vehicle that is safe enough to push it to its limits. I dont condone street racing or tailgating but there is a point when you have to say" Let the Pinhead PASS."

Some people have "anger management" issue w/o confronting it.
Road rage is one of the venting channels. People need to realize that we all share the roads.
No hogging, no racing, no tailgating, and no cutting.
We share.

True, but that's not an excuse for the ones who drive so slowly!!! These people are annoying!

What an unfortunate event. A man dies from a stereotype of BMW owners. Let this be a lesson to all of us: don't judge people, or their driving habits, by the car that they drive!

sounds like he was out to prove something. He doesn't like BMW drivers while at the same time he's trying to prove that the car the he prefers is faster than a BMW. Big mistake. I have a friend that loves lexus and refuses to let one past him. He rolled his car trying to race a BMW and one of his passengers sued him.

I'm not the physical type "road rager", but I'm definitely cursing up a storm when a Mercedes C320, BMW 525i or BMW 325i coasts in the speeding lane on I95. These 3 cars tend to piss me off more than any other car.

Too bad, poor guy, probably would have survived if he was driving a BMW or Mercedes instead of racing one.

dont matter what car. if ur speeding at 150mph it's still 150mph never mind what type of car it is. it's beyond it's safety measures.

So the M5, M6, BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT SPEED, PORSCHE 997 TURBO, GT2, LP 640 are all over over their safety measures when they are at 150 mph ?

Do not place other drivers in the same category as yourself, if you are a mediocre driver that is good for you, I CRUISE at 155mph or as close to it as possible as often as i can and i assure in most high performance vehicles it is VERY SAFE and within said vehicles' Safe Handling Envelope.

He died as a Hater...how sad. He should've driven a Porsche.
