Good move Chrysler! Dropping the Durango and Aspen are also good moves. The next best thing they could do is drop the Sebring and bring out the 200C - only if it can live up to the concept (form & function / possibly as a hybrid-diesel) If I'm wishing the best for them even though it took a near death experience for them to wake up.

correction: I'm wishing the best for them even though it took a near death experience for them to wake up. I truly see Chrysler making a serious comeback. Cadillac is on a roll. Lincoln is being reinvented and will do better once they get their own platforms. It's just a matter of time before Chrysler comes back.

I see your point. Most auto makers tend to take an existing model and improve on it over time - improving quality, content, fuel economy, brand equity and resale value. It's been proven with the Civic, Corolla, Camry, Accord, F-150 and a few others. I think Ford is on their way with the Focus. With the introduction of cars like the 2010 Fiesta and other European models, it's likely we'll get the European Focus in the near future. That will do wonders for Ford and be THE car to have.

As for Chrysler, I think they should leave the small cars to Dodge. If the PT Cruiser were redesigned, given a true hybrid option, and more attitide, it would probably do wonders for them. In my opinion, the PT Cruiser hurts the Chrysler brand due to it's sub 19k entry-level price. If Chrysler ever wants to be considered a true American luxury competitor, they can simply visit Cadillac.com and look at their portfolio. Leave the small cars to Dodge.
