Moving Forward: Nissan GT-R Sedan, SUV and Lexus LF-A Still in the Works

Nissan has big plans for its award-winning GT-R supercar. In 2011, we can expect to see not one but two offshoots of the GT-R, namely a four-door Infiniti as well as a Porsche Cayenne-rivaling GT-R SUV, both dropped onto modified versions of the GT-R platform

I'm pretty sure Lexus and Toyota transmissions are some of, if not the most, reliable in the world. But then again I'm not delusional like ChuckG37

Lexus LF-A. LOL!!

After 20 years lexus still can't build a more dynamic car than BMW. And now they think that they can compete with Ferrari and Lambo? Good Luck.

Lexus has not been trying to compete with BMW in that department. The IS-F is the first car that does. Other than the IS-F Lexus has been trying to make more "classic" luxury cars: cars that "float" on the road like the older Mercedes and all the Rolls Royce's.

And anyone who laughs at a V10 supercar that sounds like a Formula 1 race car and looks that gorgeous is a straight up idiot.

The LF-A did a 7:24 around the ring, which lambo or ferrari can do that?

STJ88: It isn't fair to compare a car which is still in development to cars that are in production. You have many factors, including government regulation(Emissions, safety etc.), tires, dynamics etc. ,which in many cases, hamper a production model.

I have no doubt it will be an epic car when it comes out but I can guarantee it will do the ring at more then 7:30.

Yep!...There's a lot of supercars with more than 620hp,including the new Corvette, but The Lexus LF-A is the King of the Ring (Nurburgring) and no other car has ran that since the LF-A. Don't you haters get it! Lexus intention was to send a message to the supercar world by publicly demonstrating and setting the bar at 7:24 at the ring. Stop and think about it for a second....no other supercar has performed under 7:24. Come on guys...the only reason Toyota has not shown a real interest in sports cars or supercars is because: 1) The challenge must be great, typical of an over achiever. 2) Opportunity to expose the worlds best at the Nurburging. 3) Set the bar high, performance and price. Guest what? Whosoever will top 7:24 will be up the creek because the LF-A is still in testing and waiting for the next opportunity to raise the bar and then they will precisely release the King of the Ring. Say what you will, this car will be nothing short of a Legend and Icon....Period

As far as I am concerned Lexus and Infiniti are scared they knew they couldn't beat the NSX especially Lexus so they wait until Honda anounces that the NSX is cancelled and fittingly they make statements saying their cars are still a go. The NSX will still be released because it done, Honda will just upt the anty a year or two later.

YAAAWN....Didn't people like you say 20 years ago that Lexus will be a flop and will go bankrupt within 5 years? Pretty sure you did. 20 years later Lexus is the best selling luxury brand in USA for how many years in a row now? LOL but keep trying, you sound desperate!

I imagine that the SUV will be an FX w/ GTR type drivetrain, but I'm really anxious to see what they do with the sedan. I'm hoping that they make it as a CLS/Panamera competitor.
