I'm beginning to suspect that you don't love the vehicle.

Land Rover Defender is a vehicle produced for a world wide market and fails dysmally with it's pathetic 2 point something litre diesel when you need to tow something larger than a shopping trolley. Congratulations JE for building a Land Rover Defender that might compete with the Japanese Land Cruiser or Patrol. Who'll take my bet that Jaguar / Land Rover don't go anywhere with this vehicle and it remains a one off after-market production and Land Rover Defender continues to decline in worldwide sales.

This new Defender is more street oriented with the larger rims and lower profile of the street tires. My friend had the older Defender and the tranny costs him $10,000! The reliability issues would keep me away from this vehicle, I would probable go with the Nissan Patrol. Although this vehicle has improved in some areas. If I owned this vehicle I would give the tires away and put on some 35-37 inch tires with a two inch Articulation kit from OLD MAN Emu, then I would put a real bumper on it! then it would be ready for off road duty.

Nope, not $150K, not even $100K but US$90K for a brand new Zulu based on a top spec 110 Station Wagon. JE/JLR V8, Tremec manual or ZF auto, AP Racing brakes, JE suspension etc etc. This is no toy, this is the business!!

Colin M at JE (Hi all!!)

Really, BSBB? I should see your physician! Twats who keep asking "why do that?" make ME sick. I'll tell you why, coz it's there....to be tweaked. Did you think Robby Gordon and Andy Grider entering a Hummer on the Dakar was equally stupid? You should have asked them..........on the podium!
