2009 SSC Ultimate Aero: more details revealed
Details of a revolutionary EV technology was released lately by Shelby Super Cars (SSC) which it will unwrap in the second quarter of 2009. The recipient of SSC’s ground-breaking all-electric powertrain will be the latest Ultimate Aero which is the fastest production car in the world according to Guinness.

This is intended to create the ultimate Aero EV and will strengthen the company’s position as an auto industry standard. The new SSC technology, unlike other car makers, will set a new benchmark in 10 minute recharges, extra horsepower and a 200-mile range from a single charge. What sets SSC apart from other car makers in this sphere is the fact that SSC is developing Green technologies for a host of applications for a even a greater host of car ranges, in contrast to the competition which develops Green technologies only for specific cars.

The car itself is not a Muscle Car but the modified GM inside is definitely started out inside muscle cars.
I think its the Corvette Block which does duty in the G8, probably some trucks too ?

Anyone enlighten me on those GM blocks ?

I just think the SSC people are amazing. Like Jay Leno said, they say they'll do something, and they do it ...even though their original press for this electric vehicle was very misleading.

Still, 10 minute charges! w/ up to an approximate range of 200 miles.
If the car is really light and efficient and the battery can stand the torture I give to my RC toys (Yes, I still lov'em x), I'd be...speechless.

Oh yeah, when people say form follows function, form is still important! - second place important!!!
