Porsche 911 Carrera and Targa 4 receive new sport exhaust system
A brand new sports exhaust system for the current generation 911, which has been developed by Porsche, is going to be offered as an option on new models beginning February this year. Is anyone else just getting tired of Porsche? I mean god knows they tweak on small thing and everyone gets excited. Maybe I am in just in a bad mood today. NOPE! Just really bored with them "Porsche" lately.

"The exhaust system will allow owners to adapt the Porsche 911 to his particular taste" ... this type of sexist journalism should have ended in the 1980s! Furthermore, there is nothing in the article that attributes this option to anything more than a "sound" change. No power gain, no fewer emissions... nothing other than equating Porsche owners to obnoxious Harley owners that remove the baffles from their mufflers to sound "cool". Maybe I am in just in a bad mood today too!

Yawn. Nissan had an option like this on the 98 JDM R34 Skyline GT-T. And I recall Mazda had a similar system (but used for changing flow characteristics) on one of their eary-mid 90's cars (929/Sentia).

Hey...maybe they'll come out with platinum exhaust tips???...Or...get this... daimond studded cup holders...

Who gives a rat if Porsche comes out with a newly exhaust system? What does it have to prove or what benefit does it give to Porsche??? Hopes in beating Japans Godzilla or just another way to swindle owners out of their pocket books???

If it sounds like a Carrera GT I'll take the option. Other than that no
