New information on future BMW vehicles

BMW Progressive Activity / 5 Series GT

I was informed first PAS FEP (what FEP means) prototypes were about to hit Munich streets in the next days.

Yet some BMW marketing guys wanted R&D department to keep PAS under pre-FEP heavy camo until a Concept premiere (in Geneva). Engineers claimed such action would postpone FEP phase testing for few more weeks - and that was an absolute no go for R&D department. Board of Director was asked to inetervene … and to decide what to do. The Board of Directors meeting is to occur later this week, or early next week.

However … in the best case the FEP-camoed PAS will hit the roads next week, in the “worst” case we’ll have to wait till early March.

So, still have to wait 1 to 8 weeks.”

2010 BMW 6 Series

F12 6er coupe pre-FEP prototype is also ready - limited drives on Munich roads going on at the moment; prototype is about to start extensive tests at the Nurburgring.
2010 BMW X1

X1 will also starting to enter late FEP phases shortly - meaning even less camouflage.
2011 BMW 1 Series

1 Series prototypes are ready - expect pre-FEP prototypes to start the testings in the next months.

2010 BMW 3 Series Facelift - Coupe and Convertibles

3 Series Coupe and cabrio facelifted cars are also to hit the roads in the next weeks. With slight psychedelic camouflage here and there (mainly front and rear).

I hope the 2010 X5's get the bi-turbo I6's and V8's.
