A picture showing the Opel Insignia OPC/ Vauxhall Insignia VXR has been leaked. The high-performance sedan shows the same vertical front air intakes that featured in the Opel GTC Concept. The GTC Concept was unveiled at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show and it previewed the Insignia's design language.

Power is expected to come from a twin turbo V6 producing in the region of 320bhp (239kW). Power is transmitted to the 255/35 R20 tyres through a 4WD system.

If GM could learn one thing from the very successful Opel design language, is that the designs are so forward. GM should continue to "share" or combine the Opel line into more Buick/ Pontiac lines. Even Chevy could fold Opel into its line.

I think these latest designs from Opel are quite beautiful. They've managed to think outside the box and create an elegant look that is different from the competition without going overboard as Acura has done.
