Bmw 5-Series PAS to be unveiled before the Geneva Motor Show
BMW sources reveal that the 5-Series patterned Progressive Activity Sedan (PAS) will be unwrapped in a special event on February 11 and 12 although details have been closely guarded at this time. It is commonly expected that the PAS, which is founded on the latest 2010 5-Series, will be introduced after the debut of the redesigned 5-Series.

Considering the timeframe for the PAS showing, however, it would look like BMW will be showing a concept version rather than a production model. Nevertheless, a concept is fundamentally just a thinly-veiled production model.

So It's a taller hatchback version of the 5? Seems like a very small market, It will probably be much bigger in the US than europe because people in the US still don't really like station wagons so this would be an alternative for people in the wagon market that don't really want to be there, or something like that???

1) I don't think that's how it's going to look, since that's essentially the side and grill of a 7 mixed with the bumper of a 3 and the tail of an X6, BUT if it did
2) that looks a lot like the Audi Sportback concept they just showed in Detroit, which is funny because everyone was drooling over on the Sportback on here. Swap the Audi grill with twin kidneys though and you get disdain. Figures.

Why? You already got the ugly X6. BMW, stop while you're ahead.

Every time BMW introduces something controversial, the industry criticizes but eventually conforms and copies.

Ironic.

Ugly. It looks like what the X6 should have been.

Why do people criticize Audi for making cars that look identical and this looks like a lower X6.

Is this to replace the ditched X7??...Not sure what BMW is thinking here...I think they should stick to sedans, coupes and SUV's...stay away from this what is it, crossover, in-between stuff.
