I just wanted to point out one thing. The new A8 will look like Audi's current sportback concept. I promise you, it will, in the same way Audi A5 coupe introduced the new A4. Look at it: http://tinyurl.com/AudiSportbackConcept Look at it's genuine front grill and headlights, a step ahead of current A4/A5 face. At the nearly Rolls-Royce Phantom style interior design, luxurious yet uncomplicated. At the perfect balance of the entire car body. Anytime BMW comes with a new concept, I feel they really struggle to create something that makes people say "wow!". Audi? It comes their designers so naturally, like they found some golden mean of styling and find pleasure at drawing car lines. BMW 7er can win some useless comparisons now but only when the daddy is not here. Then the boss from Ingolstadt will soon come and spank its sorry ass. And the best thing is everyone's aware of it. BMW salesmen and fanboys included. The fate of not that terribly pretty 7er is dooooooooooooooomed!

Not that i don't agree that the sportback was absolutely amazing, but I do believe that if the styling is going to be related to a sedan, it will be the next generation A6, which it is based on. However, I do have full confidence that Audi will produce an A8 that is equally stunning to the rest of their line.

Although I haven't seen the 7 series in person yet, from the pictures it's not looking like a home run. However many BMWs do look better in person and I'm sure this will probably be one of them. I see a subtle elegance and sport in the pictures that will probably be more pronounced in real life, helping with the image. I really hope this is true because I am a fan of BMWs and they have some big competition in this class nowadays.

Well, Audi recently refreshed the A6 so the car will live for at least a few years from now. Meanwhile, the new A8 is due much sooner and I bet it'll start its life as a coupe to punch the 6-series and the Merc CL in the same way A4 started its existence as A5 to make CLK extinct. Yes, 7er does look good. But not as good as I was hoping it would be and I counted on the drop-dead gorgeous CS concept to come alive. It haven't (yet). So the 6er stands no chance against the A7 since it has no AWD and those luxury all-rounder grand tourers have to negotiate snow and ice of Kaprun as agilely as the tarmac of Monaco. quattro (and 4matic) can do this. RWD only cars can't. Audi is on their wave now, and fairly unstoppable.

Don't worry, I had the same idea about the 7 series, but yesterday I saw my 1st one in a parking lot and I have to say, it looks a million times better in real. I think its the best looking in the class atm..

You're an idiot, downtoearth.
The CLK is simply being renamed.

The comments above are neither measured or in context to the news article, which is the launch of the LWB 730d to the UK market...

Isaacu, Have you lost it or something? How dare you come on this site and demand measured logical posts that remain on topic? Agents, may I suggest a lifetime ban on Isaac and his IP address for such a gross recognition of the terms and conditions.
