Update:Audi A6 Super Bowl Ad Info And Sneak Peek
For last year’s Super Bowl, Audi advertised its high-end R8 sports car with a “Godfather” tribute. This year, Audi is using action star Jason Statham to promote its less-expensive A6.

The commercial begins in the 1970s, as Statham drives an older-style Audi through city streets to a funky “Shaft”-style theme. Then, the spot flashes forward to the pink-and-blue pastel landscape of “Miami Vice,” where Statham’s Audi has evolved into a 1980s model.

The ad ends with Statham racing the Supercharged A6 through a modern-day action sequence, with the slogan “progress is beautiful.”

If it was a Lexus commercial, you would be all over it.

Of course it's news! All kinds of crap is posted here. It has to do with the auto industry, so it's valid.

The New A6 is a beautiful looking car, gonna give the upcoming 5 series a real run ! Love those LED daytime running lights like the new A4, they really make a bold statement !

lol of course this is news. I agree chrisp, this is a beautiful car and will really spice up the competition between BMW and Audi. Personally, I now like Audi's better. The new A4 is way better looking than the Bmw 3 series. I said looks I know it doesn't perform better. Then this A6 is better than BMW 5. And the RS6 will be better than M5 and new A8.

Is this a new car or a face lift?

It is just a face-lift, with improved 40/60 (instead of 50/50) quattro and some details no one cares about. But it's here to finish kicking BMW in the face. You see, the Audi TT is a shitter with wheels attached, an overprices tarted up golf with fake "quattro" that can't do much harm to the 1-series. So recently Nissan 370Z was dispatched to kick BMW's balls and did so in Edmunds comparison, a case well discussed on AutoSpies. The entry level luxury BMW-balls-kicking job is well handled by A4/A5, cars that made every BMW driver realize they became cocks for no reason since they no longer possess best vehicles in the category. There was a problem in the 5er/A6 territory. We all know Audis are better here as these cars are more "complete" with their standard quattro on more powerfull models and no plasticky interior. But a final touch was due to make things clear and here it is. In the recent Auto Motor und Sport comparo, the A6 Avant sent the bimmer down the toilet (where it belongs) and made all the cocks driving those cars seek consolation by calling their head doctors. For the SAME price Audi offered 40/60 quattro (instead of the RWD) and a supercharged 3.0 TFSI engine (instead of a naturally aspirated party pooper 30i). And overall a much better looking car since Audi estates comes naturally while estates from Muenchen are just a by-product. Bye bye BMW! No bimmer will ever damage Top Gear cock'o'meter anymore! Haha! Enjoy the test: http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/vergleichstest/audi-a6-avant-und-bmw-530i-touring-sechszylinder-im-kombi-duell-939589.html

There is great irony in Audi using Jason Statham playing this role. He, of course, is famous for his role as the star of "The Transporter" series. Of course, Audi paid for product placement in the "The Transporter." "The Transporter" borrowed heavily from the BMW Films "The Hire" starring Clive Owen. BMW Films, in turn, were greatly inspired by the one of the most magnificent car chases of all time, through the streets of Paris in "Ronin." In that chase DeNiro and friends, ironically, drive a BMW 5 Series, even though Audi paid for placement in the film. And who directed the very first BMW Film? John Frankenheimer, the director of "Ronin."

No irony, except that Audi will do it better than BMW as always.

Jaguar's gorgeous XF blows this Audi into the weeds, the new diesel and V8 from Jag are a superior motor...

The XF is really nothing much to look at. Jaguar really mucked up the car from concept to production. The A6 is a much more cohesive design that will age better.

New revised tailights and addition of LEDs at the front is nice improvment but still A6 looks little bland and bulky.
