Cool little video (I liked the animation), and perhaps this will be a good car or one that nobody asked for, but notice that they say absolutely NOTHING about the superior way the car should drive - is it no longer the ultimate driving machine? they use the word "perfomance" at the very last second. To me it's odd, since the only thing really unique about BMW's today is that they still have that special something in the way they drive, and even then, not like they used to.

The most stupid idea that came from BMW.

I have to admit, the rendering looks awesome. I though it's gonna be some VAN by BMW, which would ruin every virtue cars from Muenchen possess, but it is not. It's a downsized X6. Why it's such a good idea? Simply because SUV buyers never go off-road in the posh luxury limos on stilts. They want their cars to look and drive as sporty and agile as possible, yet they need to drive a raised car to look down on other road users, which gives them a nice safety and advantage sensation. That's what this PAS is all about. A Lexus RX rides to high and appears to be to lame. An Audi A6 allroad quattro is too low. The downscaled and cheaper, more affordable X6 a.k.a PAS is just right. I was gonna call it PAS(s gas) but let my apologize, the car and its whole idea is all very well thought. Put a double clutch automatic gearbox, twinturbochared engines + a hybrid, an active rear differential, variable steering ratio, electronic suspension and some safety gadgets (line keeping and change assist) and BMW comes up with a car that Audi just can't beat, can only catch up to it.

So, what we're to expect here is a BMW Venza?

Sure seems like it from a conceptual standpoint... Take a mid-level saloon and add a hatch, which is not the least bit new or innovative.
