Porsche preparing GT2 RS?

Porsche preparing GT2 RS?
According to our sources Porsche could be up to an ultra-hardcore GT2 RS exclusively intended for track days. Although the GT2 is already lightning fast at 530 hp, there are reports saying that a faster, lighter and more potent variant is still coming.

The newest GT2 has succeeded to get rid of its extremely dangerous status although some might find the car more compatible with the road rather than the track. That concern is sufficiently addressed with the RS variant which might, except perhaps with the GT1, be the fastest road-going Porsche ever around the track. If this car continues to production, it is said that it will come with a Perspex window at the rear and wheels that are center-locking.

I was going to refute Bimmer's statement but then I decided that it was just to idiotic to even bother.

Why is godzilla mentioned in this thread? Nissan is Nissan and Porsche is Porsche. Economy vs. high end. Apples to apples.

Just another flame war waiting to happen.

I agree with agent63...from experience we have all learned that there is nothing useful from engaging in a flame war. No one ever wins and you don't learn anything useful. Let's face it...the one good thing about the Porsche and Nissan is that you have a choice. Take it for what it's worth...it's your money therefore your choice.

Please hear Jeremy Clarkson screaming in the first minutes of comparing the current GT2 to the Gallardo LP something: http://youtube.com/results?search_query=top+gear+gt2+lamborghini ||| He called the Porsche "a dog" and then awarded it with one out of five stars in a review saying it was "too hot and too hard to handle": http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/driving/jeremy_clarkson/article4271522.ece ||| And now Porsche want to shift this car further into the wrong direction. For what? The best of 911 Turbo is its AWD, such powerful daily drivers simply need one. GT-Rs, Evos, Imprezas, Gallardos, R8s or any other fast Audis confirm the case. Making a car narrow-minded and track-oriented (99,999% of miles we clock, we clock on normal roads with rain, bumps and potholes, not on grippy and smooth tracks) automatically surrenders it to the all-wheel-drive competition. Proof? On SportAuto wet handling course, a track simulating real-life conditions much better then others, the usually slower B7 RS4 just slaughtered and humiliated the E92 BMW M3: 1.27,5 vs 1.32,4 http://www.fastestlaps.com/track34.html

TurboSpyder - becouse AWD cars aren't allowed to the races where Porsche is competing, that's why Nissan can't race its GT-R with Porsche, becouse it's AWD.

And if you look further than your nose, you'll notice that on the top of the list of the wet handling track there is the track-aimed rear wheel drive GT3, not the Turbo.

And even the GT2 stands higher than the Turbo.

Heyhuub - 1st, 2nd and 3rd place goes to AWD cars. what exactly are you trying to say?

The fastestlaps.com he gave.

1 - 997 GT3 = RWD
2 - Audi RS4 = AWD
3 - 997 Carrera S = RWD

So i don't know what you are trying to say.

Wrong, The GT2 was as fast as the LP560 on the track but in real life out on the road, also because it is easy to handle - The Lambo is way faster.

The GT2 is a beast... It doesn't matter if its faster than Car A or slower than Car B. The point is, if there is a GT2 RS, that car is going to be an absolute monster!!!

Oh, please. Flawed design! HA! No joking here: it's been obvious for many years that Porsche has overcome the laws of physics in producing the 911. Yes, the Cayman is more balanced, but tell me, would you rather have a Cayman S or a 997 GT2? Don't lie.
