The Super Bowl Smack Down, Who Had The Best Car Ad?

The Super Bowl Smack Down, Who Had The Best Car Ad?
The Super Bowl is now just a memory and the Cardinals didn't win so to some it may be one that is easier to forget.

But with the game over, we have to wonder were those highly anticipated Super Bowl ads really that super?

While the Detroit 3 passed on the game day ads this year, three manufacturers still bit the bullet and took the advertising plunge to get their name over the airwaves.

But who did the best job?  Was it Hyundai appealing to the enthusiasts,
Toyota go for mass appeal, or Audi's tongue and cheek portrayal of the competition?

Pretty hard choice no doubt but I have assembled the ads here to let you be the judge and tell us who made the best impression.

Watch the ads below and let us know who won the Super Bowl XLIII Ad Smack Down!

I must say the angry boss commercial was very amusing as well as the teaser to the hyundai genesis coupe.

1) Audi
2) Hyundai "Angry Bosses"
3) Hyundai Genesis Coupe

It was a close call between the Audi and the "Angry Bosses" ads. The Hyundai ad was more obviously funny, the Audi more subtle. But I enjoyed both immensely.

The Hyundai Genesis coupe will probably get me into a Hyundai showroom to take a peek at it. I'm probably too tall to fit in the car properly (what else is new?), but it's definitely worth a peak.

BTW - the Genesis coupe won't be available until late April or early May.

Hyundai and Audi had the best commercials by far, Toyota went for odd and bland, kinda like their cars.

The Hyundai commercials were very creative. But that last one by Audi is the one that I'll remember for a while.

Unreal work done by Audi. That ad was great and really created an impression about what they are trying to do with their brand. Progress: got it loud & clear. Hyundai, what are they really saying? Well I think it is huge that they went the BIGGEST out of all the manufacturers to show they are the real deal, their creative was well rounded and I applaud the 'Bosses' ad as something that was truly insightful and amusing at the same time. Toyota, sad effort. Venza, terrible. No one knows anything about that vehicle so trying to get it a quirky personality in the absence of familiarity - no dice. Tundra ad, so last generation truck ad it is sad. Audi, Hyundai, Toyota -- in that order, can you believe that ranking?

man Audi is so gay. Picking on the ES. A6 doesn't even compete with the ES. How about the GS of the 1990's? That thing was the fastest midsize sedan back then. Especially hte Japanese version with Supra engine, it could smoke an M5. And the V8 GS was the fastest in its class back then too. Audi 100 or A6 could not keep up.

Audi seriously seems desperate with these insults

Hyundai's angry bosses and Audi's progress is beautiful were the best two car ads from the Super Bowl. To be honest, the quality of all the auto ads were equivalant of "any other Sunday's football game". They werent much to talk about this year.

On the other hand, that Careerbuilder.com ad with the screaming woman and punching of the Koala bear was unbelievably hillarious!
