Mercedes Benz Ends Up In The January Basement! Down 42.9%

Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported January sales of 10,433 vehicles, a 42.9 percent decrease compared to January 2008. The company attributed the decline to the significant drop in the luxury automotive sector as a result of the current economic climate.

Separately, through the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) program, MBUSA sold 6,753 vehicles in January, an 86.3 percent increase compared to its January 2008 sales of 3,624 vehicles.

Like no matter what the sales leaders are we all know that Americans are stupid, including me, that's why they all choose Lexus. Even if Mercedes has a loss in sales it's still like infanitely way cooler and more hip than a Lexus could ever be, I should know, I'm the coolest.

During bad economic times it's hard for those who drives Mercedes Benz to keep them especially if their leasing or financing them. LexusBeautyQueen, you say go Lexus but their hurting too. However, Lexus would be the more bargain brand compared to Mercedes. My LS460 standard length was $28,000 CAD cheaper than my S550. That's someone's annual income right there.

even if you added the total sales of Mercedes Benz and BMW, it wouldn't equal near what Lexus is selling, Lexus is just number one, thats why people are haters towards Lexus. PS don't say Lexus cars are cheap because most of more expensive than Mercedes or BMW. Also the majority of mercedes and bmws I see on the road are the cheaper c class and 3 series and these owners probably live in cheap apartments as well.
