Infiniti and Louis Vuitton to reveal new concept car at the Geneva Motor Show
It has been established that Infiniti will reveal its latest concept car at the Geneva Motor Show next month; however, the only available detail is that it will be equipped with a bespoke set of Louis Vuitton luggage. The high-end luggage store invited Shiro Nakamura, the Infiniti CEO for design, and presented him with one of the pieces of the luggage set. This is not something new for Louis Vuitton which has been designing bespoke luggage for unique vehicles for quite some time already.

Infiniti will show you in Geneva and electric 'round box' compact concept. Or you will see a "mock-up" impression of a flagship Q replacement with 500+hp,AWD,and buck rogers "gee-whiz" controls. Or it will be a production ready down-sized QX-5/Kuraza,.... as these are the only things the alpha/omega symbol has been toying with as of late. expect the luggage to be a stupid idea promoted by an idiot designer who is on his way out,...
B O N Z A I !!!

Louis Vuitton is a brand with a long and deep heritage, Infiniti, Acura and Lexus don't have this. Louis Vuitton teaming up with either one of them to market a product just doesn't seem right from that particular perspective.

I have to agree that LV is one of the premier brands and Infiniti is not. THey must have paid a pretty penny for this partnership.

Infiniti's are Nissan's what are you talking about? 370GT & Fuga are Nissan badged in Japan. With LV's level of prestige it still won't help an economy brand.

How doesn't infiniti have a long heritage? Just look at the models they make like the G-serie, its a rebadged skyline. The skyline has been around for 13 generations and 50 years!

The M-serie, or how its called in japan (Fuga). Its the succesor of the Gloria/cedric line that started in 1959!

You heard me. Infiniti has no heritage. Carrying over the heritage from Nissan doesn't give this brand heritage. Heritage has to be earned, achieved. You want heritage? Look at first of all Mercedes-Benz. BMW. Jaguar. Aston Martin. Rolls Royce, Alfa Romeo, hell, Fiat, Lancia, Ferrari... that's heritage.

Get real. BMW 3 and 5 series cars are a few thousand dollars more expensive than comparably equipped MB C and E class cars. MB doesn't get more expensive than BMW until you get to the S-Class and the CL and SL models.

BMWs even hold their value better. You can get a 2004 E500 with less than 50k miles on it right now for less than $25k, while a 545i of the same year, with identical mileage would be more like $32k.

you're an idiot.

LV teaming up with Infiniti? Maybe they'll use Sir-Mix-Alot's "Swapmeet Louie" in one of their TV/Radio ads.

I somehow do not think that slapping on some fancy textiles with LV on it will help them sell more cars...

Infiniti teamed with LV probably to boost its (Infiniti's)brand awareness and or popularity. Nothing but a marketing exercise. Most automaker's current objective is to sell more cars in Asian markets where car sales are growing as compared to NA where sales are declining or stagnant. If you've ever see the long queues outside LV stores in Hong Kong, you will have a clear picture of why Infiniti teamed up with LV.

The more "established" luxury brands like MB, BMW, Audi, Jaguar, bentley, Aston Martin, etc. have a loyal fan base already and no need to resort to marketing exercises like this.

Willis is right, its nothing to get upset about. Infiniti has no heritage. They do okay only in America and no where else hardly. LV is world reknown for luxury. You think LV, you think Bentley, RR, maybe Benz or Lexus.

INFINITI crossing breeds with LV....Hmmm...bad combination. Its like having Gucci selling at Wal-Mart.
