Car and Driver: R8 5.2 V10 erases the one true flaw

Car and Driver just reported their results from their first drive of the new Audi R8 5.2 V10. They say the R8's only flaw, which was the lack of brute force, has now been fixed. The solution is provided by the 5.2 liter 520 horsepower V10 engine that Audi placed in the R8. Horsepower is now increased by 100, and torque is up to 391 lb/ft. from the V8's 317. If the R8 V8, with its lack of brute force, was able to knock off two world-class icons in the Porsche 911 Turbo and Aston Martin V8 Vantage in Car and Driver's comparison test of the trio, then the R8 V10 should be one flawless machine (literally) gearing up for another win versus the competition. It should be great to see if the Audi can retain its crown in the upcoming comparison tests.

Actually, it is Audi that owns Lambo and was the one providing the engineering development for the V10 5.2L used by Lambo along with the chasis and everything else. Your comment is lame as usual. Please note that before Audi bought Lambo, Lambo was junk and on the brink of failure. I assume you can deduce the facts from that who gave who what.

wait... why would it bank on Lambo's name to sell it? Many people who buys it doesnt even know it has connections to a lamborghini...

then again, you are an idiot...

and all posted by the same person. The R8 is awesome, GermanNut, we get it. You love Audi, we get that too. You don't need to separately post every single blog and article available on the web.

Engines are not designed by the Bull you twaud, I mean Whatte. Audi developed the 5.2L V10 for Lambo which used it first and then Audi recouped its development costs (and rightfully so) by placing the engine in as many of its vehicles (S6, S8, R8). Lambo could not sell enough cars to recoup Audi's investment in the development of the engine, yet alone into Lambo itself. Lambo is simply Audi's bitch. So get used to it Lambo fans.
