The Black Stig preparing for comeback?
With a new video clip released recently on the Net showing Top Gear’s original test driver, the Black Stig, talks of BBC’s intention of bringing him back after his identity was unveiled last month ensued. The original masked driver was the idea of Jeremy Clarkson when Top Gear was reopened in 2002. When the Stig was identified as Perry McCarthy he was then a retired British race driver. The name of the Stig was based on the nickname provided to the boys at Clarkson’s school. The press statement that followed the video said that up until recently the Stig was believed to have died in 2003 when he drove off the end of an aircraft carrier at 109mph in a revised Jaguar XJS. However, the recent clip shows that the Stig, in fact, survived and is very much alive. How he managed to survive, no one knows for certain.

Maybe the blokes at Top Gear will have a Black Stig/White Stig Death Race where they race equally prepared cars. Regardless, both Stigs can squeeze every bit of momentum out just about any car.
