Is Your Car a Cop Magnet? - Most-ticketed autos
If $4 gas didn't convince you to trade in that big H2 for a Mini Cooper, perhaps your friendly neighborhood police officer will. It seems that Hummer drivers get more traffic tickets than drivers of any other make of car.

The data come from a survey conducted by ISO Quality Planning. The company helps insurers spot risks; or in other words, it helps insurance companies spot you, Mr. Bright Yellow Hummer.

Not sure if your car attracts more cops than a donut shop? Check out the list to see if your ride is getting you unwanted attention.

Article doesn't say anything about what kind of tickets...speeding/fix it tickets....

Top 3 on the list are probably the most modified cars in the business. And the AMG models are drivers who can't drive/handle the speed of the car. you don't see any Porchse/BMW M's/Vettes on the list. And then, how in the heck do you get in trouble in a Solara/Matrix? lol......

If you look at the vehicles mostly receiving tickets overall, they are all cars smaller than the H2 by sheer volume mostly Toyota's. So Kaner what are these people doing in their cars, Yoga?

Almost no one wanted a UAW truck/Suv when gas averaged over $4 a gallon

There are several ways to see this. I can think that the BMW is very common If you compare it to Porsche so it is more likely that the Bimmer gets more tickets. Porsche is not common so it won´t have too may tickets. BMW M3 is high speed budget car but still very exclusive. In the other side, If you drive a AMG, most of the time you won´t be bothered for a few tickets cause you can afford those...Almost any AMG is more expensive than any BMW, so they are not common cars as BMWs. Beside that people that use to buy an AMG likes to take the driving course from AMG cause to drive a car like that requieres more expertise to handle it properly than an M3, a light (so light that the M3 and 3 series coupes does not look as good as C on side impact test) car as the M3 is very easy to keep on track, it is a supreme machine for a turning fight (in fact in that category it is THE ONE), but a C63 is more than 400 pounds heavier with all those gatgets that Benz use to put on cars beside the strong security and more power and torque than an M3, so to say "And the AMG models are drivers who can't drive/handle the speed of the car" is a very silLy asumption" unless you do not pay attention to all the variables. There some M3 and also AMG bad drivers drivers that can a for a supreme car but unable to recognize a wheel. Finaly, remeber that M3 and M5 "are not common cars", so it is realy hard to get tickets on those specific machines. I have friend with an M5 equiped with radar, (an excelent driver) with no tickets) Not all the high speed drivers runs unprotected. Have a nice day.

ill tell you what, Ive never been followed as much by cops running my registration for no reason as i have since I bought a porsche. ITs black, doesnt stick out and yet literally, cops flip a uie to follow me for blocks while they run my tags.................its a real drag

it must be just pure numbers that raise those other marks cause ive had some other performance cars (M3, S4) that NEVER drew any attention.

If I were a cop I would ticket older non sporty cars traveling in at unsafe speeds for the conditions, I would give more leeway to sports cars because they can handle better. Red is also the most ticketed color.

Crying shame that the abilities of the car far exceed those of the driver, 9 times out of 10.

ever since i have installed my new aftermarket taillights, i noticed a change in cops behavior towards my car when they see it, espeically at night. didnt get pulled over yet, but there were 2 times(at night) when a cop was camping at a spot pull out when they see me and just tailgate me for a minute or so and take the next turn.

This list has to be bogus. There's no way that any of the AMG cars can be on a list like this. There are simply too few of them, and they are typically driven fewer miles then average, to make a list like this. It would mean that most AMG drivers are getting tickets to get anywhere near a top-ten list. The price of the car means the demographic is for older, more conservative drivers who receive fewer tickets on average.
I don't buy it.

<a href=http://www.bigdaddysigns.com/auto_magnets>Auto Magnets</a> are great for promoting businesses on the go. Be sure to select the right size magnet for your truck or vehicle as car signs come in a wide variety of sizes to fit all vehicles. It is a way to constantly promote your business. Most times you only see an advertisement for two seconds as your drive by a billboard, however in my opinion an auto magnet is something people will constantly see as you are driving on the roads. I found this great website that allows you to design your own just the way you would like it. I hope it helps http://bigdaddyssigns.com/businessmagnets.html
