No Way! That's gotta be a new design trend.

That headlight technology is outdated too.

Looks like a sure-fire winner with the FBI, but what average consumer would want to buy a large, unattractive truck-based SUV that is badly made and pointlessly big.

Why not go the whole hog and simply buy an Aircraft carrier? The quality of materials would be higher.

I really did try to find aspects of this SUV that would make me go "Hey, thats pretty nice".

Sadly, I did not find one aspect at all.

The grille stands out, but it is too big, and a bit over-the-top.

The interior looks bad wherever you look, and reminds me of a prototype interior, one of the first mock-ups that eventually gets superceeded or thoroughly re-designed.

It's like the designer did a quick sketch, and then decided to make it the final interior. It needs major development, the detailing is poor, and there is too much wasted space on the dash.

Years of European interiors have made me picky...

Sorry, GM. I did try to find something I liked about this SUV, but sadly I didn't.

It doesn't break new ground, or set a new standard in any department, or even look like a big step-up over the previous generation.

Is it hard to make a really good looking Large SUV?

Well, we'll get Mercedes to field that question when the G-Class is released
