CHICAGO AUTO SHOW: Day One Shots Start Filling Up Our Exclusive Gallery

Chicago is known as the windy city, a place famous for legendary football, baseball and pizza.

But is it known as a auto show haven as well? Maybe not to some, but to those in the know Chicago has a few tricks up it's sleeve.  Today marked the return of the Ford Taurus SHO, and Hyundai debuted the amazing Genesis coupe on the first day of the show.  If that doesn't make it a player, I'm not sure what does.

Agent001 was on hand this first day of the show and brought us all front stage, but I wanted to give you a sampling of the first day of the show.

Be sure to check out the gallery as it grows throughout the show.

We would like to thank our friends over at Lexus for sponsoring the Chicago Auto Show Gallery and invite you to check out the gallery for yourself  2009 Chicago Auto Show Photo Gallery.

Oh look! A Toyota Corolla on the Lexus display, they call it the 250h. That is so hilarious. Oh, and those "f-sport" or whatever they call it, they are trying too hard. But Audi has the S-line and "S" model. and Merc has AMG and the AMG "packages" so I guess they had to do it. Those copying machines from Japan, they are still running strong, hey!

Hey... at least Edmunds InsideLine proved that the F Sport accessories actually work; they put it into the IS 250 (not 350), and the vehicle actually achieved a better slalom speed and braking distance than the IS F itself.

I'm pretty sure there are many IS owners who would like to accessorize their vehicle.

Funny thing is that the IS 250 F Sport is more M3-like than the IS F, which is more C63 AMG - like (more grunt, which I prefer ;)

My opinion is that Lexus has it all pretty well put.

Oh great. Another gallery with hundreds of photos with no particular organization.

How about grouping by automaker? Why is that so hard?
