Should Future Generations Of the Corvette Incoporate Some Of These Stying Elements?
Looking over the Chicago Auto Show, one car that really stands out to me is the SIDESWIPE Corvette used in the upcoming Transformers movie.

Now admittedly this is a love hate relationship with me, but I do see some of the retro elements being incorporated into upcoming design.  After all retro is still in especially in models with a long history such as the Corvette.

So take a look at the following gallery shots from the Chicago Auto Show and let us know what need to show up in future generations of Corvette.

If any of the GM leg humpers say this car looks better than the Nissan GTR they are full of shit.

GT-R def looks better in person than in photos but I am tired of constant idiotic GT-R comments on every single Sport car related thread. This is obviously never going to be a production vehicle but may inspire future designs. Very cool but I do not like the Lambo esque rear end.

If they are trying to sell this to Batman, then yes.

I'm sorry, the Nissan GTR is a joke compared to this car!

BimmerMike46, judging from what you write, it is you driving the car in this video, right?

There's also a lot of Lexus LF-A concept in that rear end.

That should be the vet they sell today. And hell yes it looks better than a GTR. First time I saw a GTR I thought it was a new 350Z... doesn't look that special at all. This looks phenomenal.

I think both Nissans Godzilla and Chevrolets King Kong are one of the most well put designs. With the Corvette the four mufflers are a bit to much.

get rid of the quad tailpipes and change the front headlights and it would be great.

Holy Mako Shark,Batman! Keep the Roof, right down to the split rear window...Call me back after they've adjusted the "As Designed by a 12yr Old Boy" knob DOWN by at least 50%

Striking design, but they should tone it down a bit. After a few years it will seem a gimmicky fad like the side ribbed Pontiacs of the early 2000's.

It looks awesome. Def very over the top and something not realistically feasable... but as a design exercise, very cool. I hope they subtly incorperate some of the details into future designs.

I find the side and front have potential. The rear looks as if a 1963 split window Corvette lost its brakes and drove through the rear of a newer Vette. Maby styled by a younger transformer influenced mind.

No. Please! Today's 'Vette is just fine without a hefty dose of uglification. Did the boys from Cadillac do this design?

I like it except for the 63 split window in back. The rake of the rear already takes visibility away and then you throw the bar down the middle and it's gone even more.

The rear end would take some getting used to, and they should do some type of led tail light setup on there to tone it down some. All in all, I think that it look s pretty nice! I like this Much better than the GTR (which I think is just plain ugly, and that's my opinion)!
