Chrysler is prepping two feasibility plans for the U.S. Congress
In an interview the other day at the Chicago event, Frank Klegon, an executive vice-president for Chrysler, said that the company is prepping two feasibility plans for presentation to the US Congress next week. The Detroit Big Three are set to present a restructuring plan on February 17 to Congress for them to keep the $4B aid it got from the government in 2008.

If Chrysler succeeds in convincing the government that it could be financially feasible, it could lay hands on another $3B. Chrysler will present its plan as a stand-alone company and another plan that will include a merger with Fiat. Klegon assures that either way Chrysler will survive the current economic downturn.

Chrysler is going to make up bs when they should have had a plan about 6 months ago to get more money. Govt either own Chrysler or let it be sold off partly to Fiat.

Chrysler-Hyundai merger.... best of all worlds. They already participate in engine programs and they could use eachother better than Fiat could. Chrysler could gain access to Hyundai's smaller segment tech while the opposite could be true for Hyundai.
