Is this a preview of the 2010 Audi TT-RS?
Is this the new Audi TT-RS? The same TT-RS is said to have a turbocharged 5-cylinder 2.5L engine that will produce approximately 350 horsepower?

Well, no, it appears that it isn’t according to reputable sites such as Autoblog and MotorAuthority. But perhaps, according to rumors, we’ll be lucky enough to get a glimpse of the TT-RS at Geneva. However, there is little left to speculate on regarding the capabilities of the ‘roided up TT with the RS treatment. As mentioned, the TT-RS will sport a highly tuned 5-cylinder forced induction engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or the optional and more attractive dual-clutch S tronic gearbox all coming together to put the 350 ponies down to all four wheels with the help of quattro all-wheel-drive.

Other RS treatments will include items such as flared wheel arches, a much larger front airdam to allow the beefier engine to breathe and likely 18 to 19 inch, light weight RS-spec wheels, perhaps the same wheels found on the current TT-S that also sports the same wheels found on the B7 RS4. At the rear, fans can expect to find the typical-RS dual oval tailpipes and an adjustable wing.

While there’s no definitive word on if the U.S. market will be lucky enough to see this RS model, our guess is that, depending on how the Audi TT-S sales fare, this may dictate whether the U.S. sees this car. Our opinion? Send it on over, the U.S. was already excluded from receiving the current hyper sedan/wagon RS6 so perhaps we’re over for a new RS car. If this does come state side, I’d anticipate a price of $55,000 to $60,000, fitting well above the TT-S model and just below the new RS4 model.

This picture is a fake.
It's the rear of the MKI TT with a spoiler on it.

Why am I so not excited about this car? Maybe because all RS modifications look the same... just photoshop the kit on the RS4 on a TT and.... you get the TT-RS :D

So do AMG kits and M kits... you can't deny that the M3 has virtually the same front bumper as the M5. Does that make it less attractive? Are you buying these cars for their looks? You're in the wrong market. With 350hp, 7-speed DSG and light weight it will be able to run with a regular R8 and come in at less than half the price, with twice the MPG. Sounds pretty good to me.

Actually S4, every "M" BMW has a different body kit. You can tell they are from the same company, but they are not identical. Compare pictures! AMG on the other hand.. with the new C63, they did change slightly over the typical AMG front-kit. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it just becomes very predictable sometimes. Ofcourse no one can argue with the performance of RS vehicles ;)

Are you SERIOUS? What competition do you speak of? The TT-S coupe is $45K. That's far less than a base Cayman, with no options, which in Porsche land means it doesn't even have power leather seats. It accelerates from 0-60 in about 4.5 sec with DSG and gives you 24MPG combined. That's quicker than a Cayman S and probably an M Coupe too. What more could you possibly want?

My god, they're damned if they do, damned if they don't. Look BEYOND the power numbers. When they bring out a car that overpowers itself (RS6), they're damned. When they put out a car that is "underpowered" (TT-S)--which is totally untrue, by the way--they're damned. I am so done with this site. It's the most immature bunch of idiots I've ever come across.

You are kidding right???
It's the same price as a SLK 350 loaded (when the TT-S is loaded) and it kills it...
As S4 said... no other car in its class returns that kind of MPG for the power and performance.

When the RS version comes out, it will have a revolutionary engine with a Supercharged AND Turbo charged 5 cylinder!!!

Well Kaner is you are going to have an opinion at least try to base it of some facts. An opinion by itself is nothing more than being clueless.

This car will be nowhere near $45k unless you want bicylce tires on it. Get real, this is an Audi and it is an RS Audi. We're talking $60k minimum (out the door or not).
