Bad Boys: Covette ZR1 vs. Lambo LP640 you decide
For the Italians in this duel, it's like a night at the opera. All the showiness and drama of La Scala. Huge cast, elaborate costumes, deep lungs, music by Puccini or Verdi. For the Americans, it's the straightforwardness of a four-piece guitar band. Maybe The Killers. (Or are The Killers a bad choice of analogy? "Are we human or are we dancer?" not so very straightforward, really. "I've got soul but I'm not a soldier," huh? It was reimagined by Bill Bailey as, "I've got ham but I'm not a hamster." Anyway, I digress.)

LP640 by a long shot. Nothing special about a Z06 with a supercharger and bodykit.

True to you it isn't, but not to most automotive journalist and performance professionals.

ZR1 is not the first or last to improve its existing Sports car. 911 Turbo, GT-R Spec-V, Mitsu Lancer Evo, Subi GTi, etc, etc....so whats your point?

The LP640 is for going really fast and looking really good while doing it. The ZR1 is for passing those people on the road.

Two different frighteningly fast cars, but the consumers probably won't cross over much unless it is to buy both.

They're both amazing cars.

the ZR1 is within my reach, the LP640 is beyond what i would pay for a car. i would rather not think about LP640, so i vote for ZR1. but if i get to pick one for free, i would choose LP640.

Dude you get the most honest award because you put it out there, the truth plus you left open the door for a different viewpoint. Awesome!

I'll be the first to say that both these cars are above my limits. But, if I could buy one I would really take the 'Vette. There is something about them that I have always loved. I'm a practical person and if I could afford to buy a car like this, maintaining it wouldn't be an issue, I prefer to know that the parts and maintenance of the ZR1 was just a short hop away. Less down time when something goes wrong.

ZR1 is an incredible work of engineering. But just look at the image. There is no comparison.

Lamborghini is stunning and there's no point in saying, "if money wasn't a factor" because with both these cars, money isn't really a factor, I'm taking the Lambo.

For pure performance I'd go Evo, GTR, Ariel Atom, Caterham, Cayman, because there's no way I'd be able to take either the Lambo or Caterham to it's limits anyway.

If I could get either car I would of course get the Lambo. This takes nothing away from the ZR1 since I think it is a Monster!!! But this IS comparing fast as $hit apples to oranges.

For the price...the ZR1, but I would prefer the Lambo...it's a Lambo!

The corvette to own by a huge margin, but the Lambo for an ultimate weekend driving experience. I love power, looks, and performance. Looks for me are what I like, not what I'm worrying someone else may like or think. The Lambo seems to be for someone who wants to present a certain image. I know the corvette can have the midlife crisis connotation, but I could care less. To me its a fantastic looking car and, ultimately, the ZR1 would out perform the Lambo.

The ZR1 will out perform the lambo! If i had the money to piss away i would buy both..use the lambo to get groceries and the ZR1 to make all the guys that spent $200000+ mad cause a stock chevy just shot rocks on there windshield!
