2009 Bmw 7-Series Individual: for those who want even more
This spring, the BMW 7-Series will come fully loaded with features and options by BMW Individual permitting the driver to convey even further his fondness for superb quality and unique styling. The latest innovation of BMW Individual is Fine-Grain Leather which merges superior manufacturing expertise with striking design.

The leather, which is extremely stylish, comes with fine grain and a surface that is soft to the touch. The Fine-Grain Leather by Merino coming with the BMW 7 Series for the first time will be available in Amaro Brown, Champagne, Cohiba Brown, Graphite, and Platinum. In contrast with other upholstery choices, the BMW Individual design quality is distinct via highly special seam outlines and shapes on the seats, panel for the instruments and linings of the doors.

This is an exceptional line within BMW. I do like the redesigned 7 Series. There is nothing like high quality craftmanship. This Individual line has just what it takes to distinguish it from its competitors. Audi A8 is my favorite in the large sedan segment, but this one makes me take notice. Good work BMW.

That leather looks very nice, but why is it an 'individual' option on a car that costs $90k??? That smooth, soft Merino leather is the same quality as what you get standard in a Lexus, Cadillac, or some Infinitis. It's a scam. I always wondered why the German luxury cars used that hard leather. I guess it's so people who want the soft stuff will spring for an upgrade package!

BMW, MB, and Audi all use a grade of leather in most of their interiors that is a bit more hard and grainy than what you'll find in a Cadillac (Cadillac may have just begun to improve overall interior quality, but their leather seats have been smooth and soft to the touch for decades) or a Lexus. I thought they did it for durability and longevity reasons, but it doesn't seem to hold up any better over time than the softer stuff, in my opinion.

I feel that is does hold up much better but doesnt look as good. Im not hard on my interiors and prefer looks over higher quality.

I concur Pushrod 27. While Lexus leather is softer, its also thinner. I've noticed (and read about) wear at the 20K mark. Most company use a lot less leather than BMW (leather seating surface).

I have driven a Caddilac dts, and the quality of the leather was not even close to what you find in a BMW 3 series. Last year i drove a Buick Lucerne, and must say american cars sucks, they are so bad.

Absolutely beautiful -- saw the Individual edition at the Chicago Auto Show. The interior is simply impeccable -- easily "outclasses" Mercedes, and puts BMW right on up there with Audi. Recommend anyone near Chicago to check this baby out live, although sadly, doors are locked and it is viewing only.

Oh please, the S-Class interior is very well executed and constructed. The materials are high quality, high class and very premium. Such baseless comments about this and that interior outclasses this and that are just silly. All cars here have good interiors. There is none that is better than the other.

I drive an S550 by the way.

"For those who want even more"??? Damn BMW...trying to Pimp your Sales Men to Hoar themselves for increased sales?

For someone who isn't into BMWs, the new 7 is actually quite a sleek and elegant design, more so than the S-Class. In a few years, the fender flares on the current S-Class will look dated while this really conservative, but modern design of this 7 series will look timeless.
