Official: Bugatti Veyron Centenaire coming to Geneva! Top speed close to 440 km/h!
Few days ago we reported that a new Bugatti called Centenaire Edition will come to the Geneva Motor Show and some of you didn’t believe it! Today, Auto Motor und Sport, reports that the new Veyron will definitely come at this year’s Geneva event and will carry a total o approx. 1400 hp while the top speed will be close to 440 km/h (273 mph)! The new vehicle will also feature some carbon fiber parts in order to lose some weight (just like the new Bentley Continental Supersports).

Amazing. I wonder what it would take to get to 300mph. Probably more a matter of when than if.

Rather (1.22)^2=1.49 or 1490 hp

There are 2 things wrong with your equation. The Veyron can go 407kmh or 253mph and that the car is more aerodynamic at higher speeds. Power and drag is not everything but is a big piece. For example the #1 fastest car dont remember its insignificant name needs an extra 180hp for just 3 more mph.

I have never saw one on the street and probably never will own one. But reaching 440 Km/h is crazy, and it's probably comfortable doing it too.

I envy those who owns and have driven one.

Europe sets the standard again when it comes to cars. Is this ever going to change? Could Asia ever bring a real car on the market, something that is more than a "value" proposition(read cheap knock out)?
