Lexus has put out some good product and it has changed the luxury landscape, but it is only two decades old. Seems kind of premature to me.

They could have examples of each model generation for all models and still not have enough cars.

If true though that may be where the LFA finally ends up.

I hope they have an exhibit showing how the Camry platform can be turned into eight models. I would also like to see a history of the variations of their tag line over the years. It's a powerful testament to the genius of Toyota the way they demonstrated how you don't actually need to be passionate if you put the word "passionate" in your tag line.

if not lexus, they should fear TOYOTA. a prototype hybrid racer beat out ALL competitors in a race at the Fuji Speedway, including porsches and beemers.

with supercapacitors, it recycled energy everyone else was DUMPING on each curve.

the Tesla has proved electric cars CAN be fast. with toyota/lexus engineering driving hybrids ever further ahead, these CAN and likely will dominate future racing venues where ever they apply it.

We all know that Japanese cars don't last and Lexus is no exception. I am not surprised they want to preserves some examples, considering that is hard to find one that is more than 5 years old in acceptable condition.

A Lexus that managed to survive 10-15 years is extremely rare and can no doubt be considered a museum piece.

as usual, star sees things backasswards. japanese cars actually OUTLAST most others. (the sole exceptions being the bodywork of some early examples where road salt is used; drivetrains still lived long lives.)

any glance at CR frequency of repair charts will show toyotas (to say nothing of lexuses) can be run THREE TIMES LONGER before getting the same rate of problems as ANY competitor, other than honda.

back in '89 and '90, lexus had already gobbled up so much of their competitors' sales that MBs were filling up storage lots, as the dealers could not move OVERPRICED, unreliable cars as they used to BEFORE lexus came on the scene.

have you retards any idea how forward thinking the Japanese are? cars that are self-cleaning that can be driven in an accident free system and can change colors on command are some of the things Lexus has right now... what about the MAG-LEV system that's incorporated into buildings so that it transforms driving experience into an environmental experience... you people need to get a clue, it's not about racing heritage this or brand pedigree that.... Lexus is not concern with such frivolous activity, but the wonderful technology that's in store for the future.

At the pace Lexus is moving right now and the way this brand will transform is ultimately what this museum will showcase.

The only ones getting ripped off are Lexus buyers, buying into the marketing hype that somehow a psuedo-premium brand like lexus is actually somehow prestigous to own. The ignorants the only ones to fall for it. Any remotely brain functioning person with some knowledge of automobiles should now otherwise. What has lexus done other than serve coffee and bagels at dealerships to be seriously considered a premium brand globally? Luxury does not equal premium. I can buy a camry fully loaded and it is thus luxury. To be premium you have to prove yourself through technological innovation, develop a racing and performance pedigree, and build a certain type of culture where you are seen as a leader not to mention develop clubs around the globe of enthusiasts and owners. Plus, you must have heritage which shows innovations, racing, luxury, and premium status to be a premium carmaker. Lexus must go head to head in motor sports with Audi, BMW, MB, and Porsche to gain some kind of respect from true automotive enthusiasts. Builing reliable, but passionless cars isn't going to win converts.
