Acura teases crossover concept ahead of New York Auto Show
Just as we started thinking the 2009 New York Auto show may turn out to be boring, Acura has dropped teasers of a new concept it plans on showing in New York next month.

As you can see, the concept will be a crossover. The Acura Crossover Concept is expected to enter production in 2010.

We’ll bring you more details from the 2009 New York Auto Show on April 8.

I KNOW most think I'm nuts but I like the X6, of course that doesn't mean we need clones. Acura might do better who knows, but again, you can't out BMW BMW.

The X6 is a sales failure. Anyone can outdo the X6, it is pretty much a joke. It is disappointing that Acura decided to make a copy of a sales failure.

That is my point. But doesn't mean the X6 isn't a good vehicle. It is redundant in respect to the X5. This doesn't stop anyone for purchasing it. The Audi A8 was considered a sales disaster, but it found it's place. Failure doesn't mean bad. Just wrong timing.

lets be serious... if its under 350 HP, without proper torque, its gonna tank. its already missing the "audi daytime light/ BMW Angeleye" look. i'm not feelin it. Acura needs a proper Flagship & a Proper Coupe. Period.

If anybody can make the X6 uglier, its Acura.

I predict that this will outsell the X6. The X6 is a sales failure, but this thing will still outsell it.

The Asian Xerox machine is still fully functional.

Oh no, the rebirth of another AMC Eagle 1984-1988.
Twenty years later an "improved" german version called the BMW X6.
Now yet another abomination of this by Acura.

Yes, the X6 is the rebirth of the AMC Eagle. BMW can't innovate so they have to copy AMC. Too bad Acura is doing the same thing. Hopefully it won't be a sales failure like the X6.

you keep saying the X6 is a sales failure... and i wonder why. i mean, that really has nothing to do with the car itself. sales numbers mean absolutely nothing with regard to performance or quality or, really, any other measure of the vehicle. there are plenty of cars that sell great numbers but are complete crap. the fact that they sell "well" doesn't make them better. if the worst thing you can say about an X6 is that it's a "sales failure", then i think bmw did pretty well.

The AMC Eagle and Pontiac Aztek are in the same category as the BMW X6. They are all sales failures.

Acura makes the ugliest vehicles around, only makes sense to outugly the X6. The funny thing is they try to look advanced but have no advanced parts, old engines, trannies and all are based on Hondas or are rebadged Hondas.

How can anyone seriously like this brand when the competition is 5 steps ahead?

I wonder where this will fit in their lineup considering the RDX and MDX. Probably will be much cheaper than an x6. May even be smaller. Who knows.

Its been suggested by Acura that the new crossover will be slated above the MDX. Same width, but longer and more upscale than the MDX.

Seeing as you have an Acura badge or upside down Honda badge in your picture, you probably are blind as well. It will be disgusting surely, like the entire lineup.

Acura Legend anyone?
