Buster is right, unfortunately.

Buster001 is just a jealous ignorant guy who knows nothing about design, performance or cars at all. He's got something stuck in his useless brains that always forces to write negative things which aren't true about Lexus and Japanese cars in general. The outgoing LS has won more awards than the S-Class can dream of ever getting.

The new L-F design is no where near any other car design. The new S-Class has an absolutely rubbish design and that goes for all MB's

001Buster,

You are exactily correct. Why pay for innovation in styling when you can be "inspired" by it. One of the worst recent violations is the new civic sedan's rear end. Copied from the new Audi A4 within a year!

I do like the headlight cluster though, hopefully makes it to production.

I"m just not about to get all excited about this yet. It's certainly acceptable and a good effort, and I'm sure it will be well built with a nice interior, but it just isn't incredible enough for a flagship luxury car. I'll still vote for the "Jaguar XJ SuperV8" for a gorgeous and sexy luxury sedan. Take a good long look. There's just no comparison. Sorry.

As has been said so many times, every car is derivative. If Lexus can put the pieces together better than anyone else - in styling, engineering, and mechanically - SO BE IT. This car looks GREAT, from what I can see in these pics.

There's a reason Toyota has $18B in cash and is continually increasing market share in EVERY vehicle segment they're in - they're making vehicles that people want, that hold their value, and that hold together. Can't say that about any other auto maker. They all do something well, in some segments, but they've not succeeded like Toyota.

The last time I was on a Benz lot, the salesman immediately started in with the "Lexus doesn't have this, and the Lexus doesn't have that." Why so defensive - losing market share to Lexus?! I pose the same to you Euro-snobs - why so quick to judge and condemn? Seeing something you like?!
