Upcoming Audi Q3 to be built by Seat in Martorell factory

Audi Crossover ConceptWe reported few weeks ago that the new Audi Q3 will be based on the Steppenwolf Concept and new here is more news! Audi announced that the new baby SUV will be built by Seat’s factory in Martorell.

AutoWeek reports that the German manufacturer has to make a tough decision due to the hard financial times and satisfy more than 13,000 people who work at the factory. Of course, the manufacturer will also receive some official help from the Spanish Ministry of Industry.

If any of you were really car enthusiasts, you would at least appreciate the fact that decision has been made to protect Seat workers and help them keep their jobs. If that also means that it allows the Q3 to be built at a competitive price for the European market, than why not. it is funny how nobody has any problems with a Lexus being built by Toyota or an Infiniti being built by Nissan or an Acura being a Honda in Europe.
But mention Audi in a sentence here on this website and all the wrath of you so called expertise will come down on that brand.
Any carmaker that has some financial sense will use its resource in order to make a capital gain. The domestics have failed but so far VW, Audi and the VW/porsche group seem to be doing okay and this is one of those measures that will help the group being profitable for next coming years. If you have a problem with that, you just need to crawl back under your rock.
