What Premium Car Brand Has The Best And Worst Dealers And Dealer Experience?
There are a lot of excellent vehicles to choose these days but one of the most forgotten parts of the car buying experience, is what will it be like to work with the dealer you buy it from, from start to finish.

It's cool to go to the auto show and get all excited seeing the rides shining in the booth but in reality, you will be spending a decent amount of time at the dealers facilities (waiting rooms/sales floor) and interacting with their salespeople, finance, service and parts people.

And we all have our stories of the heroes and zeros we've met along the way.

So tell us what premium brand has the best and worst dealers, soup to nuts dealership experience and WHY?

And what is the BEST and WORST dealer perk they offer you as a customer?

And don't forget to visit our sister site DealerRater.com , the number one site on the internet for dealer reviews and feedback.

And DO NOT buy a vehicle before you check them out first on DealerRater.com !

It could save you A LOT of money and headaches!

I know this doesn't count as a premium brand; however I remain extremely impressed with the high amount of customer care at Don Valley North Toyota. http://www.donvalleynorthtoyota.com/

This really is true. It's what made us order a Venza this past Thursday! By the way, there's a 12 week waiting list.

Might want to avoid Lexus dealerships in the Greater Toronto Area; a friend of mine had some very bad 'Friday the 13th' (or Lexus hospitality) luck; Their Lexus ES350 got rammed in the parking lot of the dealer WHILE they were taking DELIVERY! They never even put it in drive yet! It was a sales associate that rammed them too!

They were then told to report the accident on their own.
Lets just say... their getting a new, new ES350.

Porsche dealers, hands down. I never dealt with people that were so cocky and rude. Even a Ferrari dealer is a lot more nicer than Porsche. First they try to feed you a load of crap of why their cars don't come with bluetooth, satellite radi... (That was 2 years ago). While I was talking to my sales rep, another gentleman walk in and I guess he didn't fit the profile. Within the first sentence, the guy who greeted him ask him what he did for a living. I was trying to convince myself to get a squashed bug, since so many people talk about it like it's such a great car, but after the expeiences I had at different Porsche dealer, the brand totally turn me off. Oh well, the prancing horse looks better anyway.

good points.

what only a few people are aware of, is that saabs were once the Swedish VW. they were planned to be inexpensive and affordable. they had TWO-stroke, 3-cyl engines.

bmw also had a very humble phase, in the mid- to late-'50s. their biggest seller was the 'Bubble Car' which was basically an enclosed scooter. the engine was a 200cc SINGLE-cylinder.

everyone knows porsches started out as hopped up volkswagons.

even MB was more in the Buick middle class arena, with a FEW high end vehicles.

so don't be put off by the Euro brand SNOBS! i don't think Hyundai EVER offered 2-stroke or single cylinder "cars!"

You don't have to tell us what class each brand resides in; After all, this is AutoSpies. We're not idiots. (Except for those who classify Acuras, Infinitis, and Hyundai Genesis as premium/luxury vehicles.)

HyundaiSmoke, please find something better to waste your time on. How about figuring out how to de-italicize the 'H' on the grille of your Elantra.

Sorry but BMW, MB and Jaguar are no where near Ultra Luxury. Your categories need reorganizing.

I agree Jaguar are back on top form, the leather and wood they use in there interiors are far superior to Mercedes, BMW etc...
The next XJ will be quite something if it can match the current XF and XK.

Another way for splitting those Luxury Car Marques :-

Tier 1 = Mercedes Benz, BMW, Jaguar, Audi, Lexus
Tier 2 = Cadillac, Infiniti, Acura, Volvo ( Alfa Romeo )
Tier 3 = Lincoln, Saab ( Lancia )

I would say in that order in each tier.....though Cadillac vs Infiniti, Mercedes vs BMW and Audi vs Lexus tough ( Jaguar has way more heritage than both )....

Since when were Acura, Cadillac, Infiniti, Lincoln, Saab, and Volvo classified as 'luxurious'?

cadillac was THE original luxury car, second only to Rolls.

everyone else, with the exception of mercedes, is a relative "Johnny Come Lately."

cadillac was notable for offering the first electric starters.

That is more like it! Hyundaismoke this how you should categorize your makes. Audi is not "in-between". Suggest you check out their speciality interiors by quattro GmbH if you think crocodile seats are ultraluxury.
