2010 Golf GTI production version revealed
At last year’s Paris Motor Show Volkswagen unveiled a thinly disguised 'concept' of the Mark VI Golf GTI, the latest iteration of one of the most acclaimed hot hatches on the market.

New shots released today show the concept car was in fact a doppelganger for the production model, right down to the fog lights and license plate holder.

headlights are nice, but i think the mk5 grille is more aggressive.

Again-For what ever reason VW is still not wanting to bring the Scirocco to the US. Why I don't understand. The car is basically a mark 5 with Scirocco front nose and new tailamps. It's nothing more then a conservative VW up right hatchback. To me in 3dr guise the Scirocco makes more sense. 1)It's better looking,it's more aggressive looking,it's lower to the ground,it is lighter then the Golf,it has a wider track for better handling,it cost VW no more to produce. It makes more sense when competing against other sport coupes in it's price range.Further it will still seat 4 in relative comfort.I could see a 4dr GTI coming here or continuation of the Jetta GLI but I don't see a reason to have a 3dr GTI here with a better car at the same price to build.

The Scirocco will come to the States in limited numbers.

The GTI has a huge fan base, the Scirocco does not. If anything, both cars can exist at the same time.

If you want bland, look at Cadillac.
