JO.W., Your design degree doesn't help me like the car at all, no matter how many degrees you have. Your degrees don't make your opinion of a car any more valuable or credible than anyone else's, I'm sorry to tell you. I will NEVER like that Lexus unless they fix the rear end (which you admit is messed up), and even then it's hard to compare it to the Jaguar XJ SuperV8, which is, in my opinion, the most beautiful sexiest standard production sedan ever built. That Lexus isn't even in the same ball park as the Jag, so you go ahead and buy it and stick your degree in the driver's seat, and I'll take my advertising and marketing degrees and stick them in the seat of the JAG!!!

To commonsense . . . you obviously have none, since you call the Jaguar a piece of ****, because the Jaguar shares the top four J. D. Power quality ratings (with the Lexus). This discussion is about design. No one said the Lexus had no quality. The individual indicated the degree was in design, NOT engineering, so your lacking common sense about the Jaguar XJ quality AND you lack common sense about the difference between asthetic design appearance and mechanical attributes. So, it sure appears that your tank is very low on common sense and is filled with stupidity. By the way, go to the J. D. Power website and you can prove to yourself that you are an idiot!

This is a new one for the forum. "Commonsense" now claims to be a great car builder! How arrogant can this guy get?!! His opinion is no more valuable than the rest of ours, sorry to enlighten him. And, by the way, the Jaguar XJ Super V8 is one of AutoSpies very favorite sedans. It's powerful, sexy, and luxurious. Check the archives and read the article. You can disagree with it all you want.
