Toyota Slashes Global Production By 53% - Honda Cuts Back 43%
Toyota Motor Corp., the world’s largest automaker, said its global production fell the most in at least 23 years as the worst recession since the Great Depression hammers vehicle demand in North America and Europe.

The company’s output plunged 53 percent to 358,573 vehicles in February from the year-ago period, the company said in a statement today. That’s the biggest percentage drop since the company began releasing the tally in January 1986. Honda Motor Co., the country’s second-largest automaker, built 190,680 vehicles, down 43 percent. Output at Nissan Motor Co., Japan’s No. 3 carmaker, slid 51 percent.

Crappy, we get it, you don't like Japanese cars, no matter how good they might be. You're just digging yourself a bigger hole like last time before you got banned.

Anthony,

BS, we can let our domestically owned & operated engineering/manufacturing go away and completely rely on the shadow economics of wall st. to keep us up & running forever!

yup. we doan NEED no stinkin' industrial base. all we need is wall street, and their CIA lackeys.

as long as the latter earn and WASH monies from the opium and herion biz, wall st. and country generally can be kept afloat. (source: Crossing the Rubicon, by michael ruppert, cia scion and former LA detective.)

that is, IF the mexican mob doesn't nibble away too much of the country first.

truthpursuit, what do the new guys in Washington have to do with the all of the trouble? They were in the back seat while this bus was being steered straight into the ditch by the power class and it's White House puppets. They should get a kick in the balls for not jumping into the front seat and grabbing the wheel though.

Why does everyone always piss in each other's cereal bowl everyday? The Economy sucks, the Domestics are in trouble along with the other brands, however, the domestics have done it themselves. Everyone of the Republican's likes to point a finger at who's fault it is, and no one has the balls to say, yea we F*cked up, and let's fix the problem. It took a Democrat like our President Obama to say enough is enough, let's stop this downward spiral and get off our ass's and do something to help us get back on our feet !!
