2009 BMW Z4 U.S Pricing is available
BMW North America has just released the U.S pricing for the new 2009 BMW Z4. As expected, there is a price increase over the previous Z4 generation, but still significantly lower than the German pricing.

The entry model, BMW Z4 sDrive30i has a base price of $46,575 and the twin-turbo powered sDrive35i jumps over the 50k mark, more specifically, $52475. Both prices include the Destination & Handling fee.

The Cold Weather package costs $1,000 for both models, while the Premium Package was set for the Z4 sDrive30i at $3,900 or $2,800 if you’re buying the Sport Package as well. The Premium Package for the high-end sDrive35i model costs $2,500.

They've done a really nice job with the redesign. The most impressive thing to me is the rear side windows...amazing. That's probably the thing that has always bothered me the most with my Boxsters is the total lack of visibility when backing up.

I still prefer the mid-engine and the driving dynamics of the Boxster. I don't care for the feeling like I am being pulled along behind the car with the extreme rear seating position of the Z4.

Great job overall for BMW, and pricing seems about right.

Thank you, I'd rather have this new Tesla S model four door coupe. Trillion times better since I will never ever need to fill it up. Oh, I'll forget how it is at the pump!

As far as motoring of the past goes though, this Sauerkraut automobile is not that badly priced. In current economic crisis situation dozens bother paying so much for so little of a car.

Audi confirms this, wanting 45.000 of your dollars for some less powerful tarted up front wheel drive VW Rabbit with fake Haldex quattro and a ragtop roof "competing" with the Z4.

They call it TT but surely Audi HomoRoadster would fit much better considering this car target audience (excluding girls, obviously).

Few knows that, unlike the great looking new Z4 BMW, the HomoRoadster shares engines, transmissions, drivelines, chassis and platform with the Rabbit.

This might be a failure, just like the last Z3 and Z4. CAR magazine said this wasn't a drivers car anymore. BMW is losing it's way, sad...

Will this be another failure like the X6?

Boy you really don’t know what you’re talking about. Both the Z3 and the Z4 were the best selling cars in their segment. The X6 exceeded its first year sales expectations and is spurring copies (God knows why).

Try to deal in facts not make believe

facts you say? "The X6 exceeded its first year sales expectations" what facts do you have to prove this?

Heres your fact,

May 8 2008,

had been already sold out for this year. According to him, BMW plans to produce 40,000 units in average worldwide in a full production year during the product’s lifecycle. Half of the worldwide production quota will be reserved for U.S sales.

Here the link: http://www.autospies.com/news/BMW-X6-SOLD-OUT-29632/

What you see on dealers lot are additional production run cars (hey I can't believe they sold out).

For $54,000 I would rather have the mid-engine design Porsche Cayman S/Boxster S than the new Z4. Beautiful car, though.

It is a gorgeous looking car, but I am bored with BMW designs. For the money I would rather have a new Camaro SS convertible that will cook the pavement and look really awesome as well.
