At least they care million times more than dirty Volkswagen which keeps greenwashing customers their diesels are environmentally friendly.

Only diesels as such occupy bottom 400 places in ADAC EcoTest pollution ranking in which Toyota Prius tops about 800 other vehicles overall, coming at the very first place.

Prius requires 60% less crude oil to run than Jetta TDI DSG.

A class larger and much faster Camry Hybrid requires 20% less crude oil to run than inefficient Jetta TDI DSG.

In fact, despite using Volkswagen newest common rail TDI engine, Jetta is such a pile of turd that Toyota Highlander Hybrid, being an all wheel drive midsize SUV (not a front wheel drive compact car) and way faster as well, only requires 10% more crude oil to run than it.

That explains why Germans had to buy virtually any independent car magazine in Europe (these now belong to Motor Presse Stuttgart or Axel Springer Verlag) and to falsify hybrids fuel consumption data. Like in this test, for instance: http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/eco/spar-vergleich-toyota-prius-oder-vw-golf-876789.html where German lying scumbags falsified Prius fuel economy, claiming it to be 6,7 l/100 km.

Problem is Edmunds editors in a long term Prius test managed 41.45 MPG ~= 5,67l/100km

And 600 drivers in Germany manage 5,24 l/100km on average.

It's just the true face of German car makers. When something is against them, they'll simply start lying to their customers who are tricked into thinking they get information of credible, independent and unbiased journalists.
