BMW X6 M shows up one more time prior to the official launch
We have some new spy photos of the BMW X6 M. Courtesy of our friend Palbay, we finally get to see the famous M gills, a trademark of any BMW Motorsport model.

While the very light camo is still present on the front and rear bumper, we have good idea of what to expect, more aggressive bumpers, especially the front-one which makes space for the large air-intakes.

Again, I like the X6. I know many of the long-time fans hate the thought of another BMW SAV in the market, but it's just polarizing at times.

Think about it. BMW has effectively mastered the sedan & coup in terms of driving dynamics and feedback (feel) throughout their vehicle lineup. I think the SUV (ney SAV) segment is a true challenge for BMW. They want to offer the perfectly balanced SUV in the market and be the best.

While other luxury brands basically focus on interior content and a more powerful engine, BMW is engaged in trying to find the best driving environment in regard to the driver's perspective of feel, response, dynamics, etc. along with interior content. The X6 represents a breadth of deep understanding for the SUV segments whether small or large.

It would say something if Cadillac announced that they were going to drop a tuned LSV8 into the next SRX AWD, and that it would be engineered to dynamically drive like a CTS-V. This is what BMW is doing with the X6.

BMW M cars became:
- heavy
- turbocharged
- all wheel drive

How lame. Who could expect BMW will shamelessly copy Audi approach so intensively.

BMW themselves are just admitting Ingolstadt engineers are superior to Muenchen engineers.

That was inevitable due to the amount of additional gadgets that help keep the car on the road and keep its occupants safe. Turbocharging was obvious b/c you get the same or increased power and torque from smaller, lighter engines. And though AWD adds additional heft, it is essential in helping with driving dynamics for the SAV lineup.

I hated this car until I saw it in person. I like it. It has a very muscular appearance. It looks even better all one color.

The X6 is one of those big-on-the-outside, small-on-the-inside kind of cars. You'd expect more interior room because of its large size but the X6's interior isn't any lager than 5-series interior. I still like it though:-)

I keep seeing these in Vancouver, and from every angle it is the ugliest thing on 4 wheels!
What were they thinking?

And is it mandatory that you must be a young Asian male to own one, because everyone here is.

(and has anyone else noticed that all Porsche Cayennes are driven by 30-something blonde's yakking on a cell-phone? What's with that? Is the Cayenne the official vehicle of the trophy wife?)
