Hennessey GTR700 sets top speed record for the Nissan GT-R
Hennessey Performance Engineering is claiming to have built the fastest R35 Nissan GT-R in the world - and while it’s April 1, we’re not kidding.

Using its GTR700 upgrade kit (which adds turbos, inter-coolers, blowoff valve and electronic boost controller), Hennessey’s Nissan GT-R produces 725-hp with a maximum torque of 630 lb-ft. That allows for a 0 to 60 mph run in just 2.8 seconds.

The top speed record was set at the March Texas Mile event where the Hennessey tuned GT-R went from 0 to 193.7 mph in 1mile.

The Hennessey GTR700 can be purchased for $18,500 or $24,500 installed.

I respect what Hennessy has done, but I'd prefer to leave the thing stock.

Good thing you can not afford one. So you cant be one of the few retards that use launch control 20 times in one day damaging "THE FIRST GEAR"

I love Hennessey because they are all about performance and not adding rediculous body mods. This kills the Hennessey Viper version. Still amazes me the perf #s from such a heavy ride.

If you have a great foundation. You will have a beast of a car. Something that muscle/pony car owners do not understand and pwr/wt is key for the best car only.

That's big time hp and at 24K for the upgrade, you still come in cheaper than a ZR-1. If it proves to be a reliable hp upgrade, then it is impressive to say the least..........u

I'm just amazed John Hennessey is still in business. Like Donald Trump, these types jump in and out of bankruptcy and know the law better than the products they peddle. In the end, they all look like heroes that have made it there from years of "hard work..." Caveat Emptor!
